Suikoden, molto semplificato, con una bella storia (fin ora).
Expensive, simple, bland and short for the format. Stopped playing when I saw the DLC list and how short the core campaign is. Was wiling to stick with it for an eventual narrative pay off but the combat was wearing thin already and I couldn't bring myself to start the game up again.

Honestly? I'm roughly 16 or so hours into the game, but pretty far past many of the first major milestones, etc, and I can say I love this game. Sure, I think it takes a person who appreciates a good story driven JRPG to fully enjoy it, but I find this to be a mix between Chrono Cross and Suikoden (or Octopath Traveler) in all of the best ways...and honestly it's been addicting and stunning to me so far. There is *so* much to do and everything I've done seems to open up something else to do. I can see myself putting many hours into this game! If I *WERE* to have a complaint, I'd say yes, sometimes the cutscenes can be a bit close together when your anxious for some action, but again, as I have played many story driven RPGs, it just takes a little getting used to. Otherwise, the artwork and transitions are all amazing and what a stunning job will all of the voiceover work, especially with such an extensive and ellaborate cast of characters. Love it!

I bought this game because I loved "Rising", but sadly it disappointed me a lot. I'm not a fan of Suikoden but I wanted to know what happened after "Rising" so I played this game, and I can say it was pretty average. The variety of characters and combos made the game interesting but it also made me feel bored so quickly that I fell asleep. The game's strong point is the variety of characters but it also let me down because the stories between the characters were not very interesting. The English voice acting is grating, the Japanese voice acting is great but the English translation is a disaster. It seems like this game company chose the wrong translator? The mini events are quite funny, it makes me want to find all the characters to see the interaction changes. I got this game mainly for the "Rising" cast and to support the publisher but the story of "Rising" just doesn't go anywhere...... The Digital Deluxe Edition is a waste and should be avoided if anyone wants to buy to support "Rising" (don't be like me).
