Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 10 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game is every bit of Suikoden that it looks like. They've done a wonderful job of capturing everything from the controls to the runes to the political intrigue & grand scale war. Overall, it's a strong recommend if that's the sort of game you're into, and you already know you are. Side note: My time is off by around 20 extra hours because apparently the Steam Link didn't shut down the game and it sat there running overnight that I was not actively playing. I'll claim a good 16 hours into the game at the time of writing this. All that said, this gem is not without its rough edges, and it's worth noting that some of the luster wears off as you progress: 1. The voice acting is well done, at the beginning. Some of the actors could've been more expressive, some felt like they overdid it a little, but the voices match the text, and that's really nice for immersion. About the time you start building your own castle, however, you begin to notice they just started cutting corners on some of the voiced dialogue. The characters start having voice lines that don't match the text, and it's super generic voice lines outside of the main story parts. I guess they had to save some money somewhere, but after having done it so well at the beginning it's a pretty jarring change. 2. I'm playing the first time in Normal (difficulty), but the difficulty scaling goes a little nuts around the Proving Grounds. First, everything was destroying me, and I just had to level my party up (to around level 23), and that's not a problem; I like the grind as long as we're getting there. But then the experience curve drops off, hard. I've been grinding up to level 25, but it seems that isn't enough. We're getting quick enemies that attack before you have a chance to heal/kill them. They're throwing self-destructing enemies that can kill party members even with the best armor that's available. And you're doing this really long puzzle that involves a LOT of walking & retracing steps in areas where you're hitting random encounters. What a slog! But then I got to the boss, and it was tough & killed a couple members of my party, but we made it. Hooray, time to celebrate... But THEN, with no save or means of healing the party available, we're launched into a story part and immediately into another boss fight and party death... WHAT!? So I'm not retracting my positive review, and I'm gonna hit it again fresh and see if I'm just overreacting, but that difficulty just scaled headlong into a wall. If the rest of the game is a lot of tedious puzzles while everything is beating you to pieces, I'm for sure gonna hafta change my strategy around, but it's really boxing you into a limited playstyle if that's what it is. And if the answer is to powerlevel deep into the experience falloff, again that's gonna suck the fun out of what has been an amazing game up to this point.

The game is fun and I've almost beat it, but there are things that the devs need to come back and fix, or someone needs to mod. For me, the biggest it rune allowance and the next is unskippable animations. Rune Allowance: If you want a party of fun characters, you are going to have a really rough time in fights as the fun characters have the worst rune allowance. Runes have a strength from 1-4 stars and characters have 4-8 rune slots that have an allowance from 2-4. The problem is that fun characters have 4 slots with 3 having an allowance of 2. Want to use the luchador? Great, just make sure you are ready to rest him every fight. Want to use the cool samurai? archer? Awesome, just make sure you don't mind her barely doing damage. What about the bazooka lady? She can't use any of the runes to make her helpful. Rune allowance take most if the fun characters and make them unusable. Unskippable Animations: War battles, eggfoot races, and card battles become a true slog and push you away from wanting to engage with them when most of the time spent on these minigames is spent watching the game sloooooooooooowly get to the point where you can act again.
This game is fantastic and truly feels like a successor to the Suikoden series. The developers absolutely nailed what they set out to do here.
I was skeptical about getting this game because the reviews but I am enjoying it so far. Story is good or at least average for an RPG, the voice-acting is good, even very good, combat is passable but maybe a little easy, characters are interesting so far. The game seems well polished and there are no glaring flaws. I say give it a try and ignore the hyper-critical reviews. I think people are too nostalgic about Suikoden but likely couldn't even play it now.
I'm not quiet sure if I want to recommend it or not. The voice ACTING sounds more than decent. The graphics are lovely and even after half an hour I'm pulled into the main story. Gameplay itself reminds me of old JRPGs and the visiual and gameplay connections to Suikoden is obvious but welcome. BUT there is one elephant in the room, that needs introduction: The localization. It's just awfully bad. Therefore I have to give it a bad review as I don't want to reinforce this behaviour. My advice: Put t he langauge to japanese and download the english sub translation fix from nexusmods. Then it's a good game. But as I said, I don't want to reinforce those 'errors' in localisation.
this game is an unexpected gem. I am loving every bit of it if you played octopath traveler and the OT2 then you will love this
