Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 10 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
a perfect love letter for suikoden 1 and 2 fans!
Juego muy parecido al suikoden 1-2, para mi peor que estos, pero no quita una buena experiencia si te gusta tener tu castillo y reclutar muchos personajes

It seems this game is embroiled in some kind of perpetual battle against trolls, but uh... I guess I'll leave a review. My heart goes out to the Eiyuden/Suikoden community. I don't know what Suikoden is but people mention it a lot. I got this off of Humble Bundle. I only played the game for like 10 minutes. I'm not really interested in playing more. The combat felt overwhelming in the first couple of battles. They gave me like 7 characters. I don't know what they do, what their skills mean, what the action economy is. All I know is that its another initiative based JRPG system that has some unclear range restrictions. I would have preferred getting slowly introduced to the battle mechanics and a smaller pool of characters. I used Japanese dub with the English text. Full disclosure, have like 1 college-class worth of Japanese proficiency, but the localization just seemed bad. I was hearing dialogue that I was translating in my head that was just not equating to what the characters were saying in English. I'm not sure I trust the rest of the game to communicate the themes or characters. As far as the vibe goes... I just didn't really get it. They starting throwing random terms at me that were obviously important in the context of the world, but I was given no extra explanation. Drive-by-exposition, I would call it. I got scared off from the game because of the translation, the gameplay complexity, and the world-building. Thank you for reading!
Unfortunately the game keeps softlocking and won't proceed in an early mission involving stealth/camp invasion. Shame, was starting to get into it. Oh well. Can't recommend a broken game.
I really wanted to like this game. I was a huge Suikoden fan when I was younger but either I've outgrown the genre or this isn't a good interpretation of that game. It's just so boring and the core characters are uninteresting. I played for more than 10 hours and I have zero interest in the plot, base building or combat. So disappointing.
Honestly surpirsed how this game turned out. I went in with no expectations but I am glad to have given it a chance. Its got some flaws here and there and a few bugs it should probably fix, but regardless I had a great time with this game.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is an ambitious RPG that clearly draws inspiration from classic JRPGs of the ‘90s, especially the Suikoden series. The game offers a sprawling world filled with over a hundred characters you can recruit, combining turn-based combat, base building, and large-scale war battles. Visually, it impresses with beautifully animated HD-2D sprites and vibrant, detailed environments that bring the fantasy setting to life. Each character feels distinct, thanks to lively animations and expressive designs that help capture the spirit of old-school JRPGs while adding a fresh polish. Combat is a strategic affair, revolving around six-member parties and a turn order system that allows you to manipulate the sequence of actions. You can chain attacks and activate team-based combos, which adds depth during tougher boss fights. While the battles early on can feel somewhat straightforward and repetitive, the system gradually reveals more complexity as you unlock new abilities and mechanics. The inclusion of auto-battle options helps ease the grind during more routine encounters. Alongside this, the game features side activities like one-on-one duels and war battles, though the latter tends to feel a bit shallow, with its grid-based system lacking the strategic nuance one might hope for. The narrative centers on a classic fantasy tale of rebellion against an empire, following a core group of heroes who rally allies to their cause. The writing is warm and occasionally humorous, creating a sense of camaraderie among the main cast. However, with such a large roster of recruitable characters, not all of them receive meaningful development. Many feel like minor additions rather than fully fleshed-out individuals, which can lessen the emotional impact of the story for some players. The pacing also suffers from familiar JRPG issues, such as frequent random encounters and slow travel, which can interrupt momentum and make progression feel sluggish before certain gameplay conveniences unlock. Outside of the main story, the game offers a wealth of side content including mini-games, collectible card games, cooking contests, and fortress-building challenges. These add hours of optional fun but often lack the depth and polish of the main gameplay loop. Some players may find these diversions enjoyable, while others might view them as filler content that doesn’t quite live up to the promise of the core systems. From a technical standpoint, Eiyuden Chronicle runs competently on most platforms but doesn’t always feel smooth. Loading times and menu navigation can be slow, particularly on the Switch, and occasional performance dips disrupt the experience. The localization and translation also have their flaws—awkward phrasing, inconsistent tone, and some cringe-worthy lines occasionally pull players out of the story’s immersion. These issues don’t ruin the game but do highlight an uneven polish that might frustrate some. At its heart, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes succeeds in delivering moments of genuine excitement and nostalgia. The dramatic duels, memorable musical score, and the sense of building a base filled with colorful heroes provide rewarding payoffs. Yet, the game wears its retro roots openly, which means many traditional JRPG quirks remain, such as slow pacing and clunky interfaces, that might not sit well with every modern player. Fans of classic Japanese role-playing games will likely appreciate its heartfelt homage and vast scope, while those expecting a more streamlined or narratively tight experience might find it a bit uneven. Ultimately, it’s a game that embraces its old-school charm, for better and sometimes for worse. Rating: 7/10
The game is fun and I've almost beat it, but there are things that the devs need to come back and fix, or someone needs to mod. For me, the biggest it rune allowance and the next is unskippable animations. Rune Allowance: If you want a party of fun characters, you are going to have a really rough time in fights as the fun characters have the worst rune allowance. Runes have a strength from 1-4 stars and characters have 4-8 rune slots that have an allowance from 2-4. The problem is that fun characters have 4 slots with 3 having an allowance of 2. Want to use the luchador? Great, just make sure you are ready to rest him every fight. Want to use the cool samurai? archer? Awesome, just make sure you don't mind her barely doing damage. What about the bazooka lady? She can't use any of the runes to make her helpful. Rune allowance take most if the fun characters and make them unusable. Unskippable Animations: War battles, eggfoot races, and card battles become a true slog and push you away from wanting to engage with them when most of the time spent on these minigames is spent watching the game sloooooooooooowly get to the point where you can act again.
Great game really enjoyed it a lot . It needs a part two . If you love JRPG try it 10/10 from me
A controller is basically mandatory to play. There is MKB, technically, but the keybindings are not done in a way that makes sense (uses RTY, IJKL, UO, and backspace) and cannot be configured. Refunded immediately.
