This game is incredibly charming and pretty much an entirely wonderful experience to play! I would suggest the player save often though, sometimes my game would freeze and I'd have to quit out before starting again. It does autosave sometimes but I think it's only after certain in-game events so if you've taken awhile to get somewhere or you're not sure how to get back make sure you save.

Иногда логика заданий утомляет .Приходится бегать по скалам в поисках палок для холстов, решать запутанные загадки с зеркалами, искать скрытые пещеры без канатного зацепа и доставать пропуски в башню, чтобы просто нарисовать город с высоты. Ein sehr entspanntes, schön gestaltetes Spiel zum Erkunden. Ich empfehle dringend, regelmäßig zwischendurch zu speichern (und ggf. Achievement-Guides zu lesen), da man leicht in kleinere oder größere Probleme laufen kann. Das hat uns etwas den Spaß am Spielen genommen, alles in allem bleibt es aber bei einer klaren Empfehlung!

Though we got good and stuck a few times, with perseverance we managed to finally make it to the end game scene. Eastshade is one of the best long games we have ever played. There is a vast amount of scenery to walk and paddle through, and dozens of fun puzzle assignments to carry out. There is a town and a city to explore, as well as forests, mountains, and an arctic location. There are beaches, caves, waterfalls, and flower strewn woods. Even without working on any of the puzzles, the game is fun when you just walk around. After acquiring a reed boat, one can paddle rivers, streams, and the ocean at will. With a tent the player can camp out, and with a fire and kettle you can brew various kinds of teas that have a wide range of effects on the player. One of the highlights of the game (no pun intended) is a slow and majestic balloon ride, where the now familiar landscape can be seen from a bird's eye view. The puzzles vary from serious ones to more whimsical. There are a lot of them. And there are a lot of 'people' to meet and talk with, too. One of the most fun aspects of the game is that the player is a painter by trade, and can earn money by fulfilling commissions and selling them at the gallery. It's the kind of game that when played after a while one thinks about it during the day a lot, and even at night in bed. The light changes as the day progresses, and each day has a brief eclipse of the sun. Once certain items are collected, the player can wander around at will at night, too. There is no dying in the game. The worst that can happen is that if you do something terribly wrong, you will wake up back in bed at the first inn you stayed at. There are four inns in the game in which to sleep or rest. A very fun game, especially if you are not in a hurry and love just looking around and exploring. Most of the terrain can be explored off-trail, though the trails are numerous and fun to walk on as well. Highly recommended!

Creo que he esperado toda mi vida para un juego así. Es perfecto. Bonito, cozy, sin prisas, superdisfrutable. Algo para investigar y un mundo por descubrir con misiones que no se hacen repetitivas. Quizás no es para los que busquen acción, pero para los que la acción nos molesta es una fantasía. Tiene sus pequeños bugs sobre todo con los animalillos del entorno, pero nada que afecte a la jugabilidad. La única mejora que le pondría es que pondría algo más de vida o quests en Tiffmore's Bluffs y la zona de los icebergs. Aunque esa zona tiene un par de sorpresas superinteresantes! I think I’ve been waiting my whole life for a game like this. It’s perfect. Beautiful, cozy, relaxing, and incredibly enjoyable. Something to investigate, a world to discover, and quests that never feel repetitive. Maybe it’s not for people looking for action, but for those of us who find action annoying, it’s a dream come true. It has a few little bugs, especially with the animals in the environment, but nothing that affects the gameplay. The only improvement I’d make would be to add a little more life or a few more quests to Tiffmore’s Bluffs and the iceberg area. Although that area does have a couple of really interesting surprises!

If you love exploring a magnificent world and hunting for collectibles while solving tasks and mysteries, this game is for you. The absence of combat and a splendid soundtrack make it incredibly relaxing, and it is also perfectly suited for short play sessions. I played it exclusively on the Steam Deck; by lowering the settings to the minimum, it runs smoothly, and it looks beautiful on the small OLED screen. One of my favorite games—highly recommended.
