Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

amazing, why use words, just buy it, it could fix your divorce
+Stellar movement and shooting make for a fundamentally satisfying shooter +Interesting level design that contributes strongly to a sense of place +Frequent and varied enemy and boss shakeups -Weapon arsenal's mostly a little plain -The breadcrumb narrative feels like it could have done more without hurting pacing** I'm a pretty big proponent of the 'boomer shooter'. From playing Unreal Tournament in a computer cafe back in 1999 to obsessively trying to figure out the best way to use each gun in Quake, I've always maintained a greater enthusiasm for the kind of FPS that involves hurtling through levels at 40 mph and cycling through an enormous arsenal than I have for more tactical, grounded affairs. With that in mind, I decided to go back and play DUSK, credited as one of the major forces in the resurrection of this kind of FPS - and it's not hard to see why it earns that credit. Little time is wasted in setting the stage; in the rural town of Dusk, Pennsylvania, the player character awakens in a dingy shack, suspended on a pair of meathooks. After tearing themselves off, the nameless protagonist uses those same hooks to fight their way to freedom through local cultists, Klansmen, and monstrosities while collecting an ever-increasing arsenal of firearms. As one might expect from the genre, the story's pretty lightweight and unintrusive, but there's also a commitment to theme and symbolism that kept me curious about the world around me as I tore through enemy hordes. Environments are varied and increasingly surreal as the player fights their way through foothills and forests into science facilities and nightmarish cathedrals; poking at the lore scattered about, telling the story of a dark order harvesting human remains for an unknown purpose, made for a nice bit of variety from the shooting. And what shooting it is! If the levels and enemies are uncanny and eerie, the moment-to-moment gameplay is an adrenaline shot straight out of Quake. There's nothing stopping the player from taking their time ferreting out secret rooms, but once the action starts, it's time to move. Bunny-hopping rapidly to build speed, circle-strafing to avoid incoming projectiles - it's all the classics of the subgenre, with a few interesting twists to add flair. The arsenal of guns is mostly FPS standard - pistols, shotgun, bigger shotgun, and so on - but their tactical applications are more than they seem. The mortar launcher, for example, fires its projectiles proportionate to the speed the player is moving when they're launched; the crossbow is magical, firing bolts that pierce all the way to the next wall; the sword has a powerful stab attack that can one-shot most enemies, only usable at 100 or more health. Enemies are a highlight as well, and force smart usage of these tools. Chainsaw-wielding brutes are covered by projectile-launching demon goats, robotic cowgirls blast away with rockets in overwhelming volleys, and flying spheres of bone scream as they fill the air with hostile skulls. Boss fights are frequent, pitting the player against everything from empowered versions of normal enemies to crocodiles hooked up to beer kegs. They range somewhat in spectacle and quality, but even the most basic are a riot that tests one's knowledge and reflexes before letting them move on. All in all, DUSK is just a total package that taps into the primal satisfaction of old-school shooters without being beholden to them. Levels are labyrinthian at times, but don't rely on keycards and artificial padding; if anything, they're built for speed-running, with challenges baked in. Knowledge and practice can shave seconds off a run, but no mechanic exists at the expense of a first-time player. While it might be occasionally a bit too lean at times and I could have stood for more weapon variety, ultimately, DUSK is a knockout game and deserves every bit of credit it's gotten.
