Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

FINALLY...Closure After 21 Years
We all have that one childhood game you desperately seek closure for. For me, that was Dungeon Siege 2. I found it by pure accident as a kid when a neighbour let me play it on his Windows 2000 PC. His one rule: "Don't hit save." I honored that rule so hard that I accidentally carried that rule forward into my own play through once I bought the physical game failing to realize that I was literally missing nearly the entire game (I know DUMB, but I was just a kid okay). Because I never saved, I spent years repeating the first area until I grew bored. Flash forward to 2026 where I bought the Steam Dungeon Siege Collection on sale for $7.89 CAD to finally gain much needed closure. After logging 70+ hours on DS2, here is my verdict. The Quick Breakdown: * Storyline (8/10): A massive 3-Act narrative across 27 main quests and 41 side quests to seek revenge against a Sauron-esque warlord named Valdis. It keeps you heavily hooked, though the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger. You go from a vile mostly hated mercenary to a heroic hero saving the realm of Aranna that all the NPCs will tell tale of at the various inns spread throughout the lands. * Gameplay & Combat (7/10): Feels like a single-player D&D campaign but with frantic mouse clicks instead of dice rolls. The progression demands strict class specialization, and the risk-versus-reward corpse runs after a total party wipe fuel a highly addictive loot loop. 4 Main RPG Skill trees offer some cuztimization, with some light dialgoue thrown in with limited choices that truly matter. * Graphics & Technical Performance (7/10): The presentation holds up with a wonderful sense of early-2000s nostalgia, but playing on a modern laptop came with frustrating technical hurdles like client crashes and a disappearing mouse cursor bug. Exploding enemies is HIGHLY satisfying though (loved the soft gore). * Cost & Replay Value (9/10): At $2.63 CAD for this specific installment, logging 70 hours brings my financial return on investment to a jaw-dropping $0.04 CAD per hour. Talk about bang for your buck! Once you complete your first playthrough, you can go back and play on harder difficulties in a new game+ with an added party member slot.
Conclusion: 8/10
Dungeon Siege 2 stands tall as an addictive, highly satisfying classic. If you want a deeply rewarding retro dungeon-crawler for a good price point this game is for you. Pass on this. Man what a great game it is but it does NOT include the DLC and has a lot of issues. I still don't know why steam allows titles like this to be sold incomplete and broken.
It would be so nice if the broken world expansion can be bundled with the original game on steam.
Absolutely old school at it's best. Totally enjoying it!! Sale price is no brainer, no reason not to play it. Plenty of skills, set items, magical items, chants ,powerups ,spell books with plenty of spells too. You can have heroes as well as pets! Game is simple and straight forward. If you like old school games, you will like this.
takes me back to simpler days
Nostalgia
A childhood game that lead me to play many more games.
is the best of all the dungeon siege games
+ the game-loop is still a lot of fun + much better party management compared to the first game + skill-system motivates a lot + variety of landscapes is great + graphics are still quite acceptable + sound is good enough + overall a real and a good RPG +/- party speaks... / ... but sadly, mostly before a new battle and they get then interrupted +/- story is better than the first game... / ..., yet that is not hard +/- side-quests are actually very interesting... / ... but poorly executed +/- cool new features sometimes... / ... but sometimes not: if you die, you loose everything and have to go back and enchanting sucks +/- boss-fights can either be a highlight for some... / ... and a low-light for others (annoying) - feels a bit too old-school sometimes - the last area is really dull - no teleport-spot before the final battle 75/100
buy it, the multiplayer mod is coming too
