Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best JP #37, worst KR #80 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Having played the PS1 version many years back, this was a very nolstagic "remake" for me. Things are slightly different yes, certain content was cut short/retold (Early in game, I did not remember having to fight enemies for the first tablet, it was a rather long walk with puzzles instead) As an adult, I did enjoy the part where it was not random encounter and I get to pick my fights to save time. The overall fight seems easier now as compared to past DQ titles, was playing on normal difficulties for reference. The worst thing that did not came in this remake was the part where you get to build your own town, and other pedestal map removed. Overall still a very good game, even for those who played the PS1 version. I would rate this 9/10!
This is only a lukewarm recommendation for extreme fans of DQ. The game's visual style is, indeed, cute and the orchestral music is grand, but the gameplay itself is pretty unexciting. This reviewer was bored by it after a few hours. The story itself is fine and the voice acting is passable. In a few words, DQVII is cute, repetitive, and unimagined.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.5/day in the week to Aug 5 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

muy buen juego
Incredible game from start to finish! I love this series and can´t wait for VIII reimaniged and XII.
Around the 20 hour mark of my 43 hour long Dragon Quest VII Reimagined playthrough, it dawned upon me that… yeah… I should probably have just played the original. And it’s all there in the playtime; you cannot feasibly cut a game with a famously triple digit length in hours down to under half of that without sacrificing some essential aspect. I suppose a greater context of the source material is required to truly extract what was lost, though it is not required to notice its absence. This is apparent even if one microfocuses on the combat; I have played enough Dragon Quests (2) to know that this is not how it should be. Even on the hardest difficulty, this game is trivial, and employs quality-of-life aplenty to waste the mathematical pureness that has long underpinned the series’ verisimilitudinous combat. Is this game bad? No. But it is worse than it should be. I have long been vocally opposed to the current videogame zeitgeist's remake obsession (Persona 4 has the actual best PC port of all time; what are we doing) yet I suppose I am a hypocrite, because the only two 2026 games I have purchased thus far are both remakes. I look at last year’s Metal Gear Solid 3 remake last year like it killed my first-born child, yet here I am: an adopter of a similarly Unreal Engine reproduction of a different, yet nonetheless bonafide, classic. I suppose one must tot this inaffection up as a lesson learned, and maybe a few years from now I’ll have it in me to put the original 100-hour epic through its paces.
J'aime beaucoup ce jeux :)
