Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best JP #19, worst KR #80 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.5/day in the week to Aug 5 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Excellent gameplay and storyline.
Jogo infinito a nunca acaba. 8/10
How can you not recomend this game, Square has done their best, and its worth every buck.
It's a great game and a great Dragon Quest. You can clearly feel the care and love that went into this game and, above all, it is especially beautiful. It runs wonderfully on Mac using an M4, with only a few sporadic stutters. The best part? Each island is a self-contained story — to me, this game is like an adventure storybook. The worst part? The characters have barely any development, at the beggining at least, which, coming from the grand DQ2 HD, could have been greatly improved. There is also a need for many quality-of-life improvements: when selling items, navigating the item interface, etc. The difficulty is also an issue, as the game is very easy on normal and it's impossible to turn off the guide that tells you where to go next. Other DQ games do allow this, and to me that seems like the most logical approach.
(Disclaimer: I have played this game on my Switch for 60 hours, but my Switch decided to finally die on me.) Dragon Quest 7 is a game I have a weird relationship with. I always loved the idea behind it, but the game never kept me hooked enough to see the credits rolling. Years later I got the 3DS version. That version fixed MANY issues with the game, but not enough to keep me playing until I finished. And that's sad, considering DQ is actually my favorite series of all times. Again, I LOVE the idea behind DQ7, but the game was just to slow and bloated. Yes, the "restoring the past and seeing the results in the present" is great, but most of the game is composed of... fat. This remake doesn't remove ALL the fat. It removes SOME of the fat. But it also makes the fat easier to digest. Everything is faster, snappier. Combat flows great, being able to kill enemies without even initiating combat removes A LOT of frustration related to the repetition. The story is mostly the same, but flows better and the dialogues are more interesting now. This remake also added SO MANY QOL changes that purists may complain. But I won't. I'm not a purist. I love the DQ series, even the first game, but I don't mind when the remakes change something to make my experience in the game more fun. But the fact remains: this is the most incomplete version of DQ7. This remake looks great while still feeling like Dragon Quest 7. It sounds great too. The new music sounds fantastic. The voice acting is great (in Japanese, I didn't try the English one). Will I finally finish this game? Probably. But truth be told, I'm still not the biggest fan of DQ7. The truth is that I'm happy about the remakes that Square are putting out. DQ1, 2 and 3 are great. Star Ocean 2 is fantatic. Trials of Mana is perfect (my favorite remake). Even Live a Live is great, and that was a game that I never played before. But DQ7 is a good remake. It fixed some things in a game that, IN MY OPINION, needed fixing. DQ7 is decent and it is epic. But it was too flawed. Now some of the flaws are either gone or are easier to stomach. Still, this is probably the easiest version of this bloated game to stomach. Now Square, there's just ONE MORE thing I'll complain here: where are the Portuguese subtitles?? (Now go work on a DQ5 remake, please. And maybe a FF6 remake in the veins of DQ3?). --- It should be noted that I got very far in this game on my Switch. But my Switch died on me and I have no money to buy a new one. SO I guess I'm back at playing games on my crappy Laptop. And here go again: restarting DQ7... again. This game is running surprisingly well on this Laptop, BTW. Medium settings, but still looks just as good as the Switch version.
