Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Its a worthy successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, if you liked that game you will like this also. I'd say it's the best arena fighter in the market right now. About 80 unique characters plus transformations to bash against each other in a toy box, with beautiful visuals. There are things that could do with improvement as of this review like some balance changes or more SP content, but those are things that they've been adding and working on, often times I just like going into tournament mode to bash AIs. Story mode goes from early Z to Tournament of Power, with What If paths and different storylines, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Freeza, Gohan, Jiren, Goku Black, Trunks. Some fights are sadly skipped but what is there is still very good. You have Survival Mode (which is brutal and sort of forces you to cheese by the end), Mission 100 which are 100 challenges.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 56.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 90.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ZERO – A Spectacular Love Letter to Dragon Ball Fans

You can check my gameplay videos of this game here

The Budokai Tenkaichi Legacy Returns
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is everything longtime fans could have hoped for from the return of the legendary Budokai Tenkaichi formula. After years of waiting, the series finally returns with an enormous roster, spectacular battles, explosive transformations, destructible environments, and the sheer freedom that made the original games so memorable. This isn't simply another Dragon Ball fighting game. It feels like a genuine celebration of the entire franchise. From the moment the first battle begins, Sparking! ZERO captures the feeling of watching an episode of Dragon Ball come to life.
An Absolutely Massive Roster
One of the game's biggest strengths is its incredible character roster. From iconic heroes like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and Trunks to legendary villains such as Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu, Broly, and many more, the game offers an enormous selection of characters from across the Dragon Ball universe. The variety doesn't stop at character selection. Different transformations and forms make the roster feel even larger, allowing players to experience battles using many of the most iconic versions of their favorite characters. For Dragon Ball fans, simply browsing through the roster is an experience in itself.
Combat That Feels Like Dragon Ball
The combat is where Sparking! ZERO truly shines. The battles are fast, chaotic, cinematic, and incredibly satisfying. High-speed movement, teleportation, counters, rush attacks, beam clashes, transformations, ultimate attacks, and devastating combos all work together to create battles that feel far closer to the anime than traditional fighting games. The ability to fly freely around enormous arenas gives combat an incredible sense of scale. You aren't simply fighting inside a small stage. You're fighting across the battlefield.
Spectacular Transformations and Attacks
Few things are more satisfying than watching your favorite Dragon Ball character transform during battle. Going from Goku to Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God, or Super Saiyan Blue feels appropriately dramatic. The same applies to characters such as Vegeta, Frieza, Gohan, Broly, and many others. Ultimate attacks are equally spectacular, with cinematic animations that recreate some of the franchise's most iconic techniques. The visual presentation makes every major attack feel powerful.
Episode Battle Is a Fantastic Celebration of Dragon Ball History
The Episode Battle mode provides a great way to experience major moments from the Dragon Ball story through the perspective of different characters. Playing through iconic battles while making choices that can alter certain outcomes adds an enjoyable twist to familiar events. The what-if scenarios are particularly entertaining because they allow the game to explore possibilities that could never happen in the original story. For longtime fans, these alternative scenarios are some of the most enjoyable content in the game.
Custom Battle Adds Incredible Replay Value
Sparking! ZERO goes beyond traditional fighting game modes with its Custom Battle system. Players can create their own battles, scenarios, and unique matchups, allowing the community to experiment with the enormous roster in creative ways. Want to see Goku fight Jiren? Vegeta fight Broly? Or create completely ridiculous matchups that would never happen in the anime? The possibilities make Custom Battle one of the game's most exciting long-term features.
The Visual Presentation Is Outstanding
Visually, Sparking! ZERO is one of the best-looking Dragon Ball games ever created. Character models are highly detailed, transformations look incredible, and the environments capture the colorful aesthetic of the anime beautifully. Explosions, energy attacks, destruction, lighting effects, and character animations all contribute to the cinematic presentation. On PC, high-resolution rendering and smooth frame rates make the battles look especially impressive, particularly during large-scale clashes.
The Soundtrack and Presentation Complete the Experience
The sound design is equally impressive. Energy blasts, punches, explosions, transformations, and special attacks all carry the impact you'd expect from Dragon Ball. The voice performances further strengthen the experience, with familiar characters sounding exactly as fans would expect. Combined with the music and cinematic presentation, the audiovisual package makes every battle feel like an interactive episode of the anime.
Perfect for Both Fans and Newcomers
Although Sparking! ZERO is clearly designed with longtime Dragon Ball fans in mind, newcomers can also find plenty to enjoy. The fundamentals are accessible enough to get started quickly, while mastering advanced movement, counters, combos, and defensive techniques provides plenty of depth for players willing to invest the time. There is a satisfying learning curve between simply playing the game and truly mastering its combat system.
A Few Areas Could Still Be Better
Despite being an excellent Dragon Ball experience, Sparking! ZERO isn't completely flawless. The enormous roster can sometimes make balancing difficult, and certain characters or abilities can feel considerably stronger than others. Some aspects of the online experience can also be frustrating when facing highly skilled players or particularly powerful setups. The learning curve can be steep for players unfamiliar with the Budokai Tenkaichi style of combat, and some menus and systems could be presented more clearly. However, these issues are relatively minor compared with the sheer amount of content and enjoyment the game provides.
A True Celebration of Dragon Ball
What makes Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO special is how successfully it recreates the fantasy of being a Dragon Ball fighter. You can transform mid-battle. You can launch opponents through mountains. You can teleport behind an enemy. You can charge your Ki before unleashing a devastating attack. You can recreate iconic battles from the anime or create completely ridiculous matchups of your own. That freedom is exactly what made the original Budokai Tenkaichi games so special, and Sparking! ZERO understands that better than almost any Dragon Ball game before it.
Final Verdict
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is an exceptional fighting game and one of the most complete celebrations of the Dragon Ball franchise ever made. With an enormous roster, spectacular combat, incredible transformations, cinematic attacks, extensive game modes, and an excellent presentation, it delivers the Dragon Ball fantasy in a way few games have managed to achieve. There are some balance, accessibility, and online-related issues that could be improved, but they do little to diminish the overall experience. A must-play for Dragon Ball fans and fighting-game enthusiasts alike — Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is fast, explosive, nostalgic, and packed with enough content to keep you fighting for a very long time.

*Sparking!
I really didn't want to leave a negative review, because I love the Tenkaichi games and I think this is a good follow up, but with the new DLC coming out the performance for the game has went from decent to downright awful. The game ran perfectly fine before I installed the DLC, but now, even with all of the settings turned down, the game runs terribly and it's become quite apparent that the DLC hasn't been optimised at all. This went from a game I enjoyed to one that I can't even play properly because the DLC is now hardwired into my copy. Please, for love of everything that is good in this world, fix this issue.
biggest waste of money oat would genuinely rather poo in my hands and clap then pay 50 pounds for this game ever again the game sucks everything sucks whoever made this needs to be sacked and disappear from the face of the earth,
