This absolutely should have been included in the Ultimate edition of the game WHICH I BOUGHT!! I had to buy this separate!!
100% should have been base game or at least apart of the ultimate edition and is honestly kinda a cash grab of a dlc
Its pretty lame over all, feels like just cut content. At full price don't do it, wait for it to go on sale. 9.99 max value

Not enough content to justify the price, specially after purchasing the legendary edition. WAIT FOR A SALE.
Review by Abrix Gaming – 4K quality gameplay reviews and recommendations.
The NEO DLC should have been included with the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO from day one. Charging Ultimate Edition owners extra for a major DLC feels like a slap in the face to the players who already paid the highest price to support the game. What's the point of calling it the "Ultimate Edition" if you still have to keep opening your wallet for content that many expected to be part of the premium package? Loyal fans invested in the most expensive edition expecting the complete experience or, at the very least, meaningful post-launch support. Locking the Neo DLC behind another purchase sends the wrong message and makes the Ultimate Edition feel far less "ultimate" than its name suggests. Bandai Namco really needs to reconsider this decision because premium supporters deserve better. I bought the ultimate edition on release for 120€. It said they will include all dlcs in this edition. But now i have to pay 35€+ for a decent expansion that had to be free because they left the game dead for several time just to implement characters from budokai tenkaichi 3. If you are new and buy all the game and dlcs for 90€, take it, its a nice price and game. But for the people that bought the game at release or pre Super limit neo, we got heavily scammed. Dont expect any money compensation. The game is good, but unfortunatel, you need a good wallet to enjoy a bandai Namco game.
Let me be clear, I don't think it's a bad pack. But this feels like I'm paying for the rest of the base game and not a brand new experience that only a DLC pack can offer. A lot of the content in this pack should've been in the base game. Why would you lock a Super Saiyan transformation for Bardock of all people behind a $35 paywall? The new Limit Breaker gamemode is hit and miss, especially regarding the random rules. I instantly lost one match because Yajirobe decided to be a fish and ate a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bean underwater. Another started off with a message saying I could preform emotes to power up.....but I couldn't open the emote wheel? I couldn't recommend this at full price, get it in a sale if you must have it. I'd recommend just modding your game if you want new content
Love the DLC, shouldn't have been $35 for the people who bought the ultimate edition. Get it on sale if you're going to get it at all.
35 dollars for what seems to me is cut content from original game. This is probably the best dlc this game will ever have. I kind of feel bad for ultimate suckers all you got was filler. I would wait for a sale on this dlc its fun but not enough to justify the price.
let's look at both sides of the coin on this one and lay out what's good, and what's not: starting off with the good (which there isnt much of), the content is good, the characters that shouldve been here are finally here plus a few extras which was great to see, the roguelite gamemode is fun but it does need to be tweaked a little bit to actually make it worth it, the new supers and costumes are really cool, BUT since this was the games driving aspect, i'd hoped for more and for not everything to be stacked onto goku, the bad however outweighs any amount of good there is. like i said, the characters that shouldve been in the base game should not be locked behind a $50 aud paywall when the game is $70 aud. that's buying a whole new game for content that should have been in the base game or at least discounted when you got the ulitmate edition (which is now delisted which is even more scummy) or even a minor discount if you got the delux edition. either way, $50 aud is too much for stuff that should already be in the game. the new supers are just...brother. they look like they were done by mediocre modders, team densetsu (crazy high quality modders) have released content in half the time that are actually dlc worthy, getting outshined by modders is just disgusting, the animations for them just seem so clunky at times, like the goku/frieza ult just looks so weird. king vegetas orga blaster doesnt even connect properly on characters in the animation which i get, but if your asking price is essentially a whole new game, the expectation is whole new game worthy. even the false ssj ultimate looks so clunky. re-releasing the exact same skins just with different ultimates and different transformation lines (looking at ssj bardock, and daima goku for that 2nd one) to pad out the customization is just absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥. to make it WORSE, early trailers and images showed actual customisation with proper acessories, like goku with cells tail and a button in the bottom right to change super attacks/ultimates so asking $50 is just disgusting at this point tl:dr. the dlc isnt worth the $50 tag. youre paying for content that shouldve already been in the game and people are justifying it with "back in the day theyd release a whole new game and youd pay for that?" it's 2026. we shouldnt have to pay the price of a whole new game for base set content.
