The game is far from perfect. But you have to give credit to the devs. Instead of abandoning the game after its disastrous launch, they showed real passion for their project through a major relaunch with many improvements and ongoing support. That’s something very rare in the gaming industry these days, and I think that deserves some appreciation. I would definitely recommend the game, because despite its minor flaws here and there, it’s a good game overall that I personally really enjoyed.
Lords of the fallen is a great reboot/remake of the original 2014 Lords of the fallen by a different studio. This game offers it all, lets talk about it. Pros: Graphics - Top tier visuals and graphics with amazing detail in the enviornments and gear / weapons. Bosses look intimidating and some even look grotesque in a good way. The animations are smooth and quick and the effects are beautiful. The umbral world looks dark and gritty with some creepy areas. Visually the game is stunning. Bosses - The boss battles are epic. Theres so many in this game with plenty of optional bosses too. It is truly an epic souls like in that regard. gear/items - The game has ALOT of items, with an insane amount of builds possible. With a large amount of starting classes fitting multiple playstyles, you will find something here you enjoy guaranteed. I tend to go for dual dagger builds, but radiance strength builds are fun too. Level design - The game has the typical level design of a souls game, with alot of short cuts, hidden areas and interconnected areas creating one large nearly seamless world. Music - The music is pretty good in the game, with the boss battle music really standing out the most. Otherwise, the ambience of the levels will keep you company throughout. Co-op - you can play this entire game aside from the tutorial in co-op with shared progression. It doesnt get better than that. Cons: Bugs - I ran into a few bugs in this game. NPC's randomly glitching and you cant talk to them. Levels glitching with textures freaking out and walls/floors disappearing resulting in me falling to my death. Its minimal but it is there and its crazy because this game has been out for so long and has gone through so many changes I would have hoped they ironed this out by now, but even though it barely happens it still did happen and its annoying when it does. Story - The story is okay in this game but ultimately it was fairly forgettable for me. I play this game mainly for the gameplay and you will definitely find it here but the story itself is really average at best with some stand out random cool moments. I found the world setting itself to be more interesting than the characters in it if that makes sense. Overall i really enjoyed Lords of the fallen. I played it completely on console prior to playing it on steam and currently am going through a few characters on this platform. Highly recommend whenever its on sale to pick it up, the cheaper the better. Thanks for reading.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To start off, I LOVE this game, and imho the "mixed" reviews should be ignored completely. At its core, this is a Dark Souls 1 "clone" with very unique mechanics, the umbral lamp, umbral realm and vestige seeds. Expect deep lore, engaging combat/gameplay, crisp audio and gorgeous graphics. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3751366038 Here are my notes of positives/negatives. Positives + - Art style is grimdark - Boss design - Build variety - Combat is weighty, long combos - Co-op is seamless & works great 95% of the time - Customization or "fashion souls" - Difficulty, unless you have a good build - Gear variety (armor, catalysts, weapons, etc.) - Graphics - Music (haunting and beautiful) - NG+ modifiers (make the game easier or harder) - Photo mode & 3D photo (Captures whole scene and area) - Sound design (ambience, combat, items, music) - Tincts (color sets for any and all armor) - Umbral concept (gimmicks, monsters, puzzles, world) - Vestige seeds (make your own bonfire) - Others- Little details - placement and visibility of your equipped catalysts being shown on your belt - unique animations for things like resting, upgrading character and/or items etc. - your character on the title screen and the in-game cinematics I am surely missing things that I like/love about it Negatives - - Boss cinematics (some are far too short and drop off unexpectedly) - Co-op CAN be very buggy (friend and I both experienced static character that could only "float" around and not interact with the game whatsoever until death, which reset the bug) - Enemy variety can feel weak towards the late game and could have seriously used a.) entirely new enemies (more) or b.) same enemies with new skins and movesets - Enemies (some not all) are a bit over/under tuned, either doing way to much damage or not enough - Floaty feeling character (this only happens when you are sprinting and not locked on to anything while making turns and is hardly noticeable) - NPC's like vendors constantly repeat the same 2 sentences every time you go back and forth through their menus - Quests are highly convoluted and confusing, requiring guides to understand what to do/where to go. Finally I will say this... the game had a rough start and could have become abandonware in the midst of all the hate that it gets (even to this day), and that is precisely why I am writing this review. The developers have gone above and beyond what us "gamers" have come to expect from devs these days. They doubled down, fixed and improved their game, made it what it was always meant to be (A highly stylized and unique "souls-like"), AND made me a loyal customer, excited af for the next installment of LotF... If you love "souls-likes" I would recommend this 1000% To strive in darkness, In light we walk.
I had a really good time with Lords of the Fallen. It's not a perfect game, but it delivers a unique dark fantasy experience that kept me hooked from beginning to end. The atmosphere is probably its strongest aspect. The world is gorgeous in its own grim way, the locations are memorable, and some of the mechanics feel like a breath of fresh air. Exploring the Umbral realm and switching between worlds adds something different to the usual souls-like formula and makes the game stand out. That said, it definitely has its flaws. Some areas feel almost empty, while others throw an absurd number of enemies at you. Even worse, enemies can behave unpredictably, wandering around or attacking in ways that don't always make sense. Another thing that annoyed me was the weapon collision system. Swinging a massive two-handed sword only to hit a single enemy, even when several are standing right in front of you, never feels satisfying. The game never waits for you to catch your breath. It keeps pushing forward, trying to kill you at every opportunity, and because of that I eventually switched my playlist to death metal with bands like Frozen Soul and Enforced. It just matched the brutal atmosphere and relentless pace of the game. The bosses are enjoyable, the world design is excellent, and some of the mechanics are genuinely creative. Overall, Lords of the Fallen isn't flawless, but it's a solid and memorable souls-like with an incredible atmosphere that I genuinely enjoyed. Score: 8.5/10
I only played this game in the 2.5 version so my review is based solely on this version of the game. Lords of the Fallen (2.5 being the version I played) is an amazing comeback story and one of the most innovative soulslikes available today if the launch version is as bad as people claim, because I LOVE this game. The dual realm mechanic, seamless world shifting, and exploration of both add fresh ideas that make the gameplay feel creative rather than derivative. Combat is satisfying but i do think jump attack should be a thing, the atmosphere is outstanding, and the new mechanics are a strong step in the right direction for the genre, proving that soulslikes can evolve while still respecting what made them great in the first place. Can't wait for the sequel. Meanwhile this is gonna take me a minute to 100% because the guys that created the achievements for this went a little too far. GG
A Warning About Losing Progress in Coop - A Review for the Friend's Pass Edition I lost my progress as the free player. I don't know if not saving the friend's progress was advertised and I just missed it, but it's still a bummer either way and renders the Friend's Pass to be more of a trial version to see if you want to pay for the full game, so don't get too invested. If you're playing the game with the Friend's Pass (and not the paid version), I do not recommend playing this as you might lose your progress. I can't speak about the paid version, so this review shouldn't be seen as speaking about that; it wouldn't be fair for me to say too much on that. If there was a way to say "Not Recommended" for the Friend's Pass version alone, I'd do it. Nevertheless, I think the situation warrants the rating as a warning to others who want to try Lords of the Fallen's coop mode. This review is focused solely on the Free Friend's Pass functionality.
