An absolute steal for the amount of fun you'll have with this. It's not easy to master, but it's slick, fun, clear, genuinely funny at times and absolutely insane.
I love this game. It has high adrenaline action and the score and combo chasing of a classic skateboarding game. I like the music and the vibrant anime visuals. The cutscenes aren't that high budget, they are more like moving stills, but they get the story across and the voice acting is also great. Replayability is also cromulent, if you go for Gold Medals on the many levels. (Not necessary to progress the game). Played on Steam Deck at 60 FPS (90 was to much on the crazier levels) and played at 144 FPS on my (admittedly) powerful Desktop (RTX 4080). Overall a really awesome action game. Highly recommend!

If you played any skateboard style game and here for gameplay alone you could find some enjoyment out of this, outside of that can't recommend. Which I hate to say cause starting the game I was enjoying it but as I progressed issues started appear more and more. If you hear for the story, don't expect much unless you search out the side stuff that dumps lore. Just going through the story is pretty bare and things get brought up but never explained. Granted it's a game about kick fliping trains but seems like story tries to take itself seriously only to expect player to know what any of the characters are talking about. For example they mention something about a "Climate Catastrophe" but never suggest what it was, and and the world looks overall looks fine. Me messing up is one thing, I'm not the best at these games, but I started having issues with basic mechanics in later part of the game (mainly wall riding jumps) and even started falling through the map a few times. Things I didn't have issue with in the earlier part of the game, perhaps later updates will patch these issues out but as currently made certain sections of the stages basically unplayable.

Play Denshattack! 2026 Game of the Year for me and i don't see that changing. The monorail mechanic is clunky and sometimes just doesn't work, but other than that one issue this game is perfect. It's unique enough to not be everyone's thing, but so unique that everyone should try it out because you won't know if you like it until you try it.
Just finished the Story of Denshattack, and yet there is still much more of it to play, this game has Soul. I cannot recommend it further.
Really fun game that mixes up the gameplay pretty regularly. The soundtrack is great and everything is incredibly stylish. One of the better games released this year so far. If I had 1 complaint it's that I can't keep track of all the different controls by the end, but that might just be a personal problem.
