About
Dead Stop is an anthology of short horror games - an episodic experience inspired by classic horror stories.
No Vacancy is the first episode.
Nancy, a hard-edged investigative reporter with nicotine stains on her fingers and a nose for lies, was burning rubber toward the nowhere town of Crestfall to dig into an arson that smelled like insurance money and revenge.
But she took a wrong turn and ended up on a long road with no road signs and no GPS signal.
That's how she rolled up on the Paradise Motel just as the last smear of daylight bled out.
Nancy’s big break might be waiting behind one of those doors.
Or maybe it's something more insidious...
Environmental puzzles built around the motel's dark history
A story told through objects, not cutscenes
Retro aesthetic inspired by 80s slasher films
Short and complete. No filler, no padding
ARACHNOPHOBIA WARNING:
This game features large spiders prominently in certain sections. These sequences may be distressing for players with arachnophobia.

A tight little horror game that nails the atmosphere from the first minute. Neon sign buzzing, weird guy at the counter, and that unnerving feeling that something's off before anything even happens. The pixelated look adds to this, making the dread creep in slower. Good for that quiet, unsettling night in.
Short and to the point, does a good job with the 80s vibe. It's tense while it lasts and the retro look sells it.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD GAME :(

This game is bottom of the bin. Poorly designed, softlocks, falling through the map. It's not good.
This game’s got a really great atmosphere, very retro and somber. The perfect game to play on a rainy night with a good cup of hot coco :). I haven’t finished it yet but I thoroughly enjoyed the opening, had a great sense of mystery to it.
모텔 공포게임? 아니 거미 공포게임
Começa como um mistério num motel e mais tarde muda para uma fuga pela vida numas cavernas gigantes. Muito bom.
Dead Stop: No Vacancy starts extremely well. The Paradise Motel is quiet, isolated and filled with the kind of visual uncertainty that works perfectly with its low-poly retro presentation. The opening is investigative and atmospheric, while the reactive sound design constantly suggests that something is nearby. Later, the game changes direction completely and becomes a cave horror experience filled with monsters, spiders and environmental puzzles. The transition is abrupt enough to make the two sections feel like different games, but both contain interesting ideas. Most of the puzzles were logical and the controls normally felt fluid. Unfortunately, I encountered several technical problems. The game sometimes detected a controller even though none was connected. The prompts changed and keyboard movement stopped working correctly, forcing me to restart. I also experienced minor collision problems. The biggest issue was the bridge puzzle with the symbol stones. I spent nearly two hours testing routes, but the safe path appeared inconsistent and the bridge eventually became a complete progression blocker. After almost five hours of total playtime, I still could not reach the ending. I am recommending it because I enjoyed the atmosphere, sound design and most of what I played, but only with a serious warning about the technical problems. 6/10
Horror throwback with a strong VHS look. The gameplay itself is simple: explore, grab items here and there to solve puzzles and open up new areas. The second part of the game changes the pace a bit by introducing new threats that actively chase and kill you. A nice refreshing twist to the usual and overused trigger and jumpscare formula.
Uma curta de terror bem intensa, com todo o ambiente retro a fazer lembrar outros tempos, e twists que ninguem pode estar à espera.
