One night at the Paradise Motel. One reporter who took a wrong turn. One thing certain: nobody checks out clean. A short retro horror inspired by 80s slasher films.

About
Dead Stop is an anthology of short horror games - an episodic experience inspired by classic horror stories.
No Vacancy is the first episode.
Nancy, a hard-edged investigative reporter with nicotine stains on her fingers and a nose for lies, was burning rubber toward the nowhere town of Crestfall to dig into an arson that smelled like insurance money and revenge.
But she took a wrong turn and ended up on a long road with no road signs and no GPS signal.
That's how she rolled up on the Paradise Motel just as the last smear of daylight bled out.
Nancy’s big break might be waiting behind one of those doors.
Or maybe it's something more insidious...
Environmental puzzles built around the motel's dark history
A story told through objects, not cutscenes
Retro aesthetic inspired by 80s slasher films
Short and complete. No filler, no padding
ARACHNOPHOBIA WARNING:
This game features large spiders prominently in certain sections. These sequences may be distressing for players with arachnophobia.

Ending completely ruins this game. You only spend about 2 mins in the actual motel and then you are all over the map underground. Game ends with you navigating a one hit instakill spider maze where you have to look for symbols over and over again.....errrrm. How about nope..... Game went a bit too out there and the ending puzzle with the bridge/massive spiders/maze is just absolutely diabolical. 3/10 Avoid.

Short horror to be played in one sitting. You know you shouldn't stay at shady motels, or else you'll end up like the game's protagonist. Has a bit of investigation, a bit of stealth and a bit of jumpscares. A light dose of everything in equal balance.
НЕНАВИЖУ ГРЕБАНЫХ ПАУКАНОВ!
Fun horror experience with a dark mystery that keeps getting deeper as you play. The retro graphics and sound design are on point, building tension and giving you an uneasy feeling throughout the game. Most of it you can play at your own pace, with one puzzle that has a timing element. Creepy and interesting, check this one out!

Clunky graphics, dodgy controls, dull visuals. This one is definitely not for me
