Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
【ENGLISH VERSION】
This is my first Dead Space game—my buddy recommended it to me. And man, that content warning at the start already got me creeped out. Okay, gotta complain about the flight controls. Are they for real? You can't even go up or down? With mouse and keyboard, it feels like it's all keyboard—mouse barely does anything (seems like it's only for zero-G alignment). I'm so done with this, it feels so awkward. Even if you don't usually get motion sickness, this'll make you dizzy. Also, it looks like they didn't separate the control layouts for keyboard/mouse and controller—they share the same one. Sometimes I'm on keyboard and mouse, but the game still shows me button prompts for a controller. The map design is a total mess. For someone like me who gets lost after one turn, this is pure suffering. I left some side quests until Chapter 11, right before the point of no return. And some security doors needed higher clearance, so I had to come back later. Without proper guidance, I was just running around like a headless chicken. The map is so confusing that I've decided to save the collectibles I missed for New Game+. I did get spooked a few times, but honestly, dismembering enemies is kinda therapeutic in its own way. The environments are packed with details—like all the graffiti on the walls. I actually had AI translate every new one I found. You can really feel the despair and helplessness in those words. The environmental storytelling is solid—I went through every single area carefully. (But I got so caught up in the details that I pretty much forgot the main story. My memory sucks, so that's a sad story.) Haven't started New Game+ yet, but I heard that items you already collected in the first playthrough will still show up again in NG+. So you won't know what you've already grabbed and what you haven't—everything respawns. That means you can't really fill in the gaps. Kinda frustrating. A lot of objects have fun interactions. Like, if you use Kinesis to grab or attack a baby doll, it actually cries out. The thing that blew my mind: after I put on that Infested Suit, there's a scene where Isaac has to take off his helmet—and he just rips his whole head off!? (Especially in the ending, when he takes off the helmet and the whole head comes with it—I couldn't stop laughing, it's so ridiculous.) Story moments that annoyed me: I don't get why Hammond had to die with the Chen monster. And Kendra's betrayal made me want to kill her myself—so mad! She spent the whole first half of the game telling Isaac that Hammond couldn't be trusted, but SHE was the real backstabber. She killed others without hesitation, ignored Isaac's warnings, and then at the end, she still expected him to save her (why would I save you?!). When the Hive Mind smacked her with a tentacle, I felt so satisfied. Also, I didn't see the twist coming that Nicole was already dead and Isaac was just hallucinating her—that really caught me off guard. (Maybe I misunderstood some parts of the story. I probably forgot a lot because of all the quick-time events and me being obsessed with environmental details. I'll probably run through NG+ again sometime and update my review with new thoughts.) Also, I really want a Marker! And that Infested Suit!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 52.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 44.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This remake honestly nails what made the first DS special, while genuinely improving the game rather than just slapping a new texture over the old one. The Ishimura still feels just as atmospheric, with visible improvements. The atmosphere is dense, oppressive, and packed with detail in countless places. Lighting, sound design, the general sense of dread while moving through the ship, all of it has been taken to a new level compared to the original, without losing what made the setting so iconic in the first place. The biggest structural change: the Ishimura is now fully interconnected, and it genuinely changes how you experience the game. There's no sense of "levels" anymore, just one enormous, dead ship. You can walk from one end of the Ishimura to the other in a single unbroken route, and it makes the ship feel like an actual, lived-in (well, dead-in) location rather than a collection of disconnected levels. Backtracking to old areas with new tools and upgrades feels different when there's no artificial separation, which works in favor of both the game and immersion into it. Combat and dismemberment got a real upgrade too with the new peeling system. Necromorphs now show layered damage as you strategically cut them apart, flesh and tendon and bone reacting differently depending on what you're shooting them with. It makes the core strategic dismemberment gameplay the series is known for feel even more visceral and satisfying than before. The Intensity Director also deserves a mention. It keeps things from feeling scripted or predictable on repeat playthroughs, throwing in dynamic scares and environmental changes so the ship never feels fully "safe" even in areas you've already cleared. Overall, this is a rare case of a remake that respects the original while meaningfully building on it in almost every direction: visuals, atmosphere, combat, and structure. If you're a fan of the original or just want one of the best sci-fi horror experiences available, this is an easy recommend.

Great remake of a great game. One of the best modern survival horror games on the market. Great story and gameplay. The music and sound design are amazing, and the graphics are also top-notch. It's definitely worth playing, even if you've already played the original game!
You did a fine job Issac
