Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 13.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

My favorite game of all time by a huge margin. Despite some reviews, I find it extremely fair as long as I accept the premise that RNG may ruin my day. I always find that there's something I could have done differently to help prevent my demise the next time, and completing each run is deeply satisfying. This game rewards taking heavy, calculated risks and aggressive synchronization. Once you learn that, it all suddenly becomes very reasonable. Because why not take on a lair boss as my first fight in a run?

I see many people saying DD2 is worse than DD1 but I completely disagree. Call it a skill issue or whatnot but I really enjoy the fact that the DD2 gameplay is roguelite and because of that I'm pretty unbothered by failure and party wipes and or hero death. In the first game you pour tons of love and care into your (hopefully) long lasting heroes but hey what can you do when a tree giant decides to crit you for 108 with treebranch smackdown and you lose a hero you've raised from childhood. I honestly believe DD2 is better in every single way. (The only exception maybe being the steam workshop mods 👀, thanks anaertailin.) Anyway yeah, I am big fan of the much faster paced gameplay (imo) as well (believe it or not), the dungeon walking was so boring and so a walk speed mod was really helpful. Now I'm not saying DD1 is bad or anything because I put like 200 hours on the game it's just that I find DD2 way more enjoyable. Sadly never actually beat DD1 either 😭... it gives me so much irl stress in end game to where I just think it's no longer worth it when I get to that point. Maybe after playing DD2 it gives me the courage to once again go back to DD1 and ACTUALLY complete it for once. It just takes so long though to progress and that's another main gripe. Anyway DD2 is good and so is DD1. Totally recommend both games.
Me ha gustado mucho lo que han hecho con este juego! una maravilal
Boy this game can be frustrating, but i cant deny the underlying masterpiece that it is. At first i hated it, but the more i delved deeper into the actual core of the game, under the surface, it all started to make sense. How do you make a game truly perma death? I think thats what the devs asked themself. In the previous version you could cheese a little, restart, reconfigure. There was just no point continuing if you had a brutal death or event, so restarting was easier. This made the perma death kinda pointless, empty. Now the very structure of the game itself, encourages death, and repeated playthroughs with new soldiers. Since win or lose, your going to lose your men anyways, you push through the deaths, and are even rewarded for it! So what would usually be a ragequit back to the main menu to start again, instead is pushing ahead through the adversity, and this little moment, is so rare in gaming, the fact they captured it so purely is in itself while being so unique, is a true work of art. So, whats the TLDR? This is hands down, the purest form of perma death gaming i have ever played. You cant alt F4 or undo anything, but its not so brutal that it kills the game enjoyment itself. Your expected to die, even to completely party wipe until you get it right and the game does not punish you at all. It simply becomes part of the experience, part of the flow. For example with Xcom, sure it has perma death, but usually the deaths are so brutal, deleting 20% of your team skills and experience. In a game so difficult to begin with, its always better to restart, and give yourself a better chance of beating that legendary run. So the perma death, you never really FEEL IT in Xcom. But in this game, you surely will. Now bear in mind, its not perfect. Kinda went from one extreme to the other, i love the perma death but i certainly dont love the forced repeated runs. Sometimes a run just isnt possible no matter how much luck or gear you have and i do get that feeling like im grinding just for the sake of grinding. Ive just cleared chapter 2 now, and by the flow of the game, i can tell i have like 40 more runs to go to complete everything on the easiest mode, and i think thats just a little too long, it should be at least somewhat possible to clear a boss on a first run and the candles system is annoying with all the upgrades, i shouldnt have to complete 10 runs just to have my stagecoach and characters upgraded, thats far too grindy. I would have preferred 3 or 5 to at least keep that sense of flow and progression constantly ticking over, but as it stands now, the biggest blocker to me loading up the game now, is knowing how many runs its going to take, just to be all caught up, levelled and equipped. But no such thing as perfection. The good easily outweighs the bad. Fact is, this is a GAMERS game, made by devs who understand gamers. 9 out of 10 Get it.
this game is actually TERRIBLE because it isn't DARKEST DUNGEON 1 AGAIN and doesn't have IDENTICAL MECHANICS im lying this darkest dungeon 2 is fire
目前还没有玩过一代,二代的目前的体验其实还是相当不错的,美术很顶尖,策略性其实也还不错,难度也还行,就是节奏偏慢了导致流程很长,也许比一代游戏性差,但是其实是远远超过及格线的游戏。
I'm obsessed with this game - it's such a thoughtful extension of the themes of DD1 I love the new relationships / camping system, it's just the part i was hoping would be fleshed out. The way they weave gameplay mechanics into story scenes is so dramatic and thoughtful. I love the framing of the stagecoach it makes you feel small compared to the first game I'm having so much fun with it, it's so far felt well balanced and I'm discovering new things on every run Seriously amazing 10/10
fajny rougelike czasem trzeba pomyśleć nad mechanikami bosów. Ogarnąć też inne zależnosci w grze
Amazing game, one of my favourite turn based games. It works perfect on the steam deck.
