Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 13.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

New Game Mode - Kingdoms - Now Playable!
“This squalid Kingdom, these corrupted lands, they are yours now, and you are bound to them.”
Kingdoms is an entirely new stand-alone strategic campaign game mode available to play now in Darkest Dungeon II.

Progress in each game mode is tracked separately, and you can freely switch back and forth between active sessions of either.
Kingdoms is being released in thematic modules, each focusing on a different enemy threat. All three adventure modules - “Hunger of the Beast Clan”, “Secrets of the Coven”, and “Curse of the Court”- are available now!

Gather your courage and ride out into the chaos of a world undone.
Four heroes and a stagecoach are all that stand between darkness and salvation.

Beating up the elderly, before the game ♥♥♥♥♥ me side ways and upside down, then proceeds to give me anything I could ever wish for, just to then be rawdoged by Death the very next second never felt so great.

Very different from the first game, but still tremendous fun.
After beating the final boss on confessions mode i have to say i dont get the hate for this game. Most complains i've seen are just "its not darkest dungeon 1" which doesnt take much research to find out. The combat is in my opinion better, more complex and more strategic than dd1 relying less on rng and more on skill and i can confirm that because i beat 4/5 final bosses on my first attempt. Some characters from dd1 are not in dd2 but they have been replaced and every character is expanded with new abilites and subclasses allowing for more synergies and experimentation (i also think its pretty cool that storywise the game is more focused on the characters and less focused on the objective). The runs are pretty long (2+ hours) which i personally like since it creates the same feeling of dread of losing a lot of progress like in dd1. The trinkets in this game i feel like are kind of underwhelming, but i understand that the devs wanted to create a roguelite that doesnt want you to ever get overpowered and thats fine for me because most of my enjoyment stemmed from making good decisions in combat. The art direction and animations are amazing and pleasant to look at, the enemy and boss designs are cool, the soundtrack is great (on par with dd1 imo) and the story is interesting. All in all if you are looking for a fairly difficult roguelite that will have you lose runs due to either knowledge checks or bad plays i think its worth the price of 30$ (base game+dlcs when i got it on sale) and thats from having only played the confessions mode on the normal difficulty. If you're looking to play this game after DD1 do NOT expect it to be the same game and do NOT expect to have an easy time at the start, you will have to get used to the new combat.
