Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really made an effort to like this game, but man, I just can't. I love this style of mysteries, but the English translation is poor enough to make the story beats a mix of nonsensical and emotionless, plus many of the puzzles just become illegible. When it works it is enjoyable, but the gears grind so often I can't recommend it.
Got recommended this game for being similar to Orwell. While they have similar playstyles, the clue gathering system is buggy. It's impossible to understate how annoying it is to click on a clue, nothing pops up so you move on, and then when you get frustrated and look at walkthroughs, find out that the clue should've been 'gathered' but the game didn't recognize it. Story's nice, but gameplay frustrating for above reasons.

An interesting game with some caveats! The investigation is enjoyable, and the general plot is fine, though it's let down a bit by a couple of things: - The translation + voice acting is Not Good. Sometimes this also makes investigating the cases harder, too. I really wish a good translator could have been involved. - I think this is related to the translation issue, but the r-slur shows up a couple of times out of nowhere at the end + in one of the achievements? Huh??? Is this 2003??? - It's good that the game isn't full of red herrings, but sometimes the restrictiveness of the browser search + what you can highlight feels both frustrating and a bit immersion-breaking. This is definitely something games like The Roottrees Are Dead do better. It's not awful, though, and you'll generally get where you're going in the end. Also, and this is not a negative or a positive, this game has a lot of underlying fridge horror/creepiness that I really hope gets explored more in game two. Overall: I definitely recommend this if you enjoy "snooping around in articles/on the internet" games! It might not be the best of the best, but if you can deal with the stuff above, it's not a bad purchase.
