A retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future. CrossCode combines 16-bit SNES-style graphics with butter-smooth physics, a fast-paced combat system, and engaging puzzle mechanics, served with a gripping sci-fi story.

The trial of progression quests are the worst. I despise whoever thought of them. Good game overall, but these almost made me give this game a downvote.
Jugalo
One of the greatest games i've ever played. Wish i could buy the collector's edition, but they're sold out :( Please devs, do a collectors edition for Alabaster Dawn!

its good! puzzles can be really hard at times but they're very solveable. its not too often I find a game that stops to make me think on a puzzle
A great game in just about every aspect that you can feel the devs poured their hearts and souls into. The gameplay, characters, story and world all felt a bit basic during first impressions but as I played on those aspects kept revealing more depth and density. The combat and puzzles kept on challenging as I got better at playing and unlocked new skills. The story has a few twists that, even though I could tell were coming, still surprised me with genuinely heartfelt moments and made me realize I care more for the characters than I thought I did. The world seems to have been carefully thought through without any glaring plotholes or details that just seem stupid. Its greatest flaw is perhaps the pacing, especially the beginning is heavily frontloaded with explaining gameplay mechanics and establishing the world, but it's worth sticking through it for what is perhaps one of the most consistently charming, fun, and decently challenging ARPGs out there.
Lovely game with great combat, puzzles, and an amazing story.
Hi! Absolutely adore this game, it's genuinely my favorite game. The base premise is interesting and engaging- a girl with no memories, playing her favorite MMORPG to recover them. The devs did a great job making the world feel like... well, an MMORPG. Players running to and fro, doing whatever it is they wanna do. The story of the MMORPG is fairly simple- generic "solve the ancient mysteries" plot- but that's not the main plot anyways, just something to drive it forwards. I'll hide all the twists and turns, don't worry, but the "game" aspect of the story is so well fleshed out, it feels like there's a whole MMORPG in here, and I wish I could play that. That is how good the secondary element of the game is. Combat is amazing- you have a great mix of both melee and ranged attacks, with both a dodge and block with parry available to you. They vary enemies up a bunch, and bosses are very creative- not many "hit the bad guy till he dies" bosses, even in the early game. You gain SP by hitting enemies, and spend it to cast skills that do a buncha damage. Elements then vary damage types, stats, and preferred engagement ranges The world is a good size- it's not New York Apartment small, and it's not Ubisoft Open World big. It's dense- lots of stuff to do, in such small areas. Most things in the environment have some purpose, and there's a buncha secrets hidden around places. Progression.. feels like an MMORPG. It could be good, it could be bad, depends who you ask. It's a material grind, but the Combo system helps alleviate issues- kill a lot of enemies in a short time, drop rates and drop rarities go up. Characters have understandable responses to seeing a woman go on a rampage through a countryside, slaughtering everything without breaking a sweat I love this game. Please, please play it. Bye!
Everything is just such a good vibe.
Its basically a playable Anime
I have not finished this game but its already top 10 of all time for me. From the amazing story to the rewarding exploration and addictive combat, this is a once in a lifetime game of its genre.
