Incredible game, it looks like an snes game but taking advantage of all the tecnology of today world. Great soundtrack, crisp combat and wonderful story! The gameplay is so good that kept me hooked all the way. So many things to do, the maps and the npcs gives me the vibes of the mmos i played when i was a adolescent
One of the most underrated games on the platform. Runs on low-specs, has a good story with lore, combat is awesome, a must have if you want something to play on a long run.

HI!, .... Hi? ...=) Hi Hi Hi Hi. Leah. Hi. =/ I waited to give this game my honest review, and it's good... just let me explain "Why?"! I never would have dreamed a game could convey so much with so small a vocabulary. honestly this game has THE best dialogue in any game in many years. Usually i'll skip through whatever bblah blah cutscenes and bullcrap storylines... not here the dialogue just seems so natural and so real, i find myself actually caring what the characters are saying.... wondering how that friend is doing.... all that... Sometimes my teammate will talk about their life mid battle and i find myself retreating so i can see what they said? WTF? what magic is this?! Sadly right now i'm stuck right now on the last puzzle in the wind temple and probably won't finish the game, simply because i see the solution to the puzzle but i'm not dexterous enough with a controller to complete it. What will bring me back to try though is the question of what's going to happen to Leah and her friends. if you don't know how to read, or hate reading. then your loss =P
best gamer ever, dear God bless the person who created this game
Great game, gameplay and movement feel smooth, art is pretty, music is pleasant. combat and puzzles are challenges by default, you can make it easier through a menu setting. As challenges, you do have to think through how to complete them. For some of the harder fights, you gotta abuse your entire toolkit, mindlessly mashing melee attacks won't do. For the harder puzzles, it's definitely more difficult than just pushing boxes, it requires thorough processing and sometimes timing. What helps with timing is that you can pause with the menu or freeze time with the shortcut menu, and that there's a menu setting if some puzzles' timings are too tight. Story was pretty nice. Some decision making. I enjoyed it. Combat feels fluid because most of your actions can be cancelled into other actions. Highly recommend taking some time and figuring out what's possible. Lots of references, easter eggs, and secrets in the game make it fun to explore. Only minor issue was with performance in some DLC areas. At random times, when my character was in a DLC area, and used a level 2 or 3 combat art, the game would massively slow down while some of the visual effects were going off. It also applied to some enemy attack effects. When I started up my game, it would randomly decide if this bug would happen to my current play session. Devs recommend switching to a different game version, the old_nwjs branch or whatever it's called. This worked for me.
I don't think it's a bad game. I did like the music, the characters and the gameplay but unfortunately it gets tedious real quick. I try rushing to the next story area just to avoid burnout. Wait for a sale.
I enjoy my time with the game, the combat is hard but fair (most of the time) and the movement through the levels is fast and precise. The world is interesting and the story uses know tropes and themes very well. The puzzles I think are a bit over designed, to me at least they feel like they area complex for the sake of being complex and have much more steps than necessary to complete, if they were simpler I think the game overhal would be more fun.
I really like this game and have a lot more to go, however I would like to say that the Temple Mine sucks so much that it took me YEARS to finish. I quit so many times during this dungeon that I have forgotten all the things I adored about this game when I started. I also got worse at the game since every time I came back to this dungeon, I had to relearn the mechanics. I ended up gluing my face to a tutorial to finish it. Aside from that, it is a lovely game so far, but oh my god why did they make this dungeon so unbelievably long, tedious, and confusing?
I usually don’t review many games but I didn’t expect this game to be one of my favorite games. I really loved the combat, but I loved the story and characters even more. The story was phenomenal and emotional, more than I expected. The characters were all so well written and even though the character that you play doesn’t speak much, she slowly became one of my favorite characters in any video game I’ve played, and I have played quite a few games in my 30 years of life, so I don’t say that lightly. You slowly build a connection to her and can empathize with how she feels, and I love that about this game and the writing. My only caveat was the puzzles. Not much of a puzzle person and I needed a walkthrough for most of the dungeons. But honestly just a small trade off for the amazing combat and story telling. 10/10 recommend.
