About

Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand introduces an all-new standalone wave defense experience, delivering thrilling, highly-replayable Company of Heroes gameplay. This standalone experience does not require you to own any previous Company of Heroes titles, making it easy for you to jump straight into the action and have fun, whether you’re a longtime fan or a new player.

Prepare to dig in, build layered defenses, and survive against escalating waves of enemy forces across 12 increasingly difficult rounds, including intimidating bosses and dynamic battlefield events unique to Final Stand.

Featuring a roguelite progression system, players construct a custom battlegroup from the ground up suited to their style of play. After each wave, choose between randomized units or abilities that persist for the duration of the run, ensuring that no two playthroughs feel the same.
Persistent upgrades like powerful perks and unique abilities will be unlocked between runs across faction-specific progression trees. These upgrades meaningfully change how each faction plays, encouraging experimentation, long-term mastery, and repeat play at higher levels.

Final Stand captures the classic Company of Heroes feeling of those pivotal moments where when faced with overwhelming odds, preparation, adaptability, and decisive command determine survival.

My main negative to mention here is that the price is too high for the overall content. So I'd suggest waiting for a sale or price drop. However my overall experience has been positive & playing single player runs has so far been enjoyable. The game is separate to the base game, and while plenty feel this is a mistake I personally feel it makes sense. It means you don't need to own COH3 to play it which has benefits, especially if you're not already a COH3 owner (and ultimately this has branched away into a separate experience anyway) I enjoy the defensive nature of the game, I've always enjoyed turtling in RTS games and typically in COH that wasn't a very interesting way to play (nor the AI smart enough), but in Final stand the AI push forward in ever greater numbers & launch surprise attacks from special events making you have to think about how you defend. All the same there are flaws here. The price as I've already mentioned just feels a bit too steep. The limitation to just 2 player co-op is a shame. Would have been great to see that pushed to 3 or 4 for very intense matches. There's a lack of matchmaking which I don't personally care about as I'd only play with friends anyway, but it's a negative all the same. I think the base line here is if you've read some reviews, seen the gameplay and it still sounds interesting or fun, then I think you'll enjoy the experience. If you're expecting a multiplayer focused experience, want matchmaking or lots of new content, then you'll be disappointed. In short, buy if you think you like wave based defence in COH, otherwise hold off.

I'm not really sure what the problem that people have with this game is. It's a great deal of fun that I've thoroughly enjoyed so far. It's a slightly new take on the old formula and has that fun rogue lite drip feed to keep me coming back. I play it with my wife which is more fun than solo, obviously, and we've had a blast. Is it perfect? No. Is it worth the time I've invested in playing it, and would I buy 4 of the devs a coffee for making it (which is the rough price they are asking). Absolutely.
scam game, progress isnt even shared across your steam profile so have fun grinding points twice if you have 2 pcs
I didn't really like it for a game that is recycled, it has very little content, it literally has 5 maps and they have almost no difference from each other and I don't understand why they separated Germany into 2, that doesn't make sense
