For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Macht euch selbst ein Bild https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQI0OJVADbI&feature=youtu.be Da ich von GoldenGod Games alle Spiele bis auf 2 besitze sagt eigentlich schon alles . Zahlreiche verschiedene Einheitentypen.
Commander: Modern War, developed and published by GoldenGod Games, is a turn-based strategy title that embraces the fundamentals of classic hex-based warfare while aiming to keep the experience accessible and easy to engage with. It places players in control of modern military forces across grid-based battlefields, where success depends on careful positioning, resource management, and an understanding of unit strengths and weaknesses. Rather than pursuing complexity for its own sake, the game focuses on delivering a clean and straightforward tactical loop that prioritizes clarity and consistency. The gameplay is built around a familiar structure: players take turns moving units, capturing strategic points, and engaging enemy forces. Each unit type serves a specific purpose, from infantry holding ground to armored vehicles pushing forward and aircraft providing support. Understanding how these units interact becomes the key to victory, as effective play relies on countering enemy compositions and maintaining control over important areas of the map. Capturing cities and other locations provides resources that can be used to reinforce armies, creating a steady cycle of expansion and consolidation that drives each match forward. One of the defining qualities of the game is its emphasis on simplicity. The rules are easy to grasp, making it approachable even for players who are new to turn-based strategy. Actions are clearly defined, and the interface presents information in a way that is easy to interpret at a glance. This accessibility allows players to focus on decision-making rather than learning complex systems, which can make the experience feel smooth and intuitive. However, this same simplicity also limits the depth of the gameplay. While there are meaningful choices to be made, the range of strategies can feel somewhat narrow over time, particularly for those accustomed to more intricate tactical systems. The game includes a variety of modes, such as structured scenarios and more open-ended skirmishes, giving players different ways to engage with its mechanics. The addition of customization options and a map editor adds flexibility, allowing players to experiment with different layouts and conditions. This feature extends the game’s lifespan by encouraging creativity, even if the core mechanics remain unchanged. It also provides an opportunity for players to tailor the experience to their preferred level of challenge or complexity. Visually, Commander: Modern War adopts a clean and functional style that emphasizes readability over detail. Units and terrain are clearly distinguishable, ensuring that players can quickly assess the battlefield and plan their moves. While the graphics are relatively modest, they serve the game’s purpose well, avoiding unnecessary visual clutter. The interface is similarly straightforward, allowing players to navigate menus and commands without confusion. Despite its strengths, the game does have its limitations. The relatively small variety of units and lack of significant differentiation between factions can make matches feel similar after extended play. Without deeper systems such as advanced progression mechanics or evolving campaign elements, the experience can begin to feel repetitive. The absence of more complex layers—such as diplomacy or intricate resource systems—means that the strategic depth remains focused on immediate tactical decisions rather than long-term planning. Even with these constraints, Commander: Modern War succeeds in providing a solid and enjoyable strategy experience that captures the essence of classic turn-based gameplay. It offers a reliable loop of planning, execution, and adaptation that can be satisfying in shorter sessions, particularly for players who appreciate a more streamlined approach. The game’s clarity and accessibility make it easy to return to, even if it does not offer the depth required for long-term engagement. In the end, Commander: Modern War stands as a competent and approachable entry in the strategy genre. It may not push boundaries or introduce groundbreaking ideas, but it delivers a consistent and well-structured experience that remains engaging within its scope. For players seeking a straightforward tactical game that emphasizes fundamentals over complexity, it provides a solid and enjoyable battlefield to command. Rating: 7/10

Advanced Wars in hexagonal grid. Need more units.
The game looks great, but apparently it lacks a saving option within the scenarios, and since some of them require several hours to complete, the campaign is just unplayable (at least for me).
I don't know if the game is ported from mobile but the controls are not at all intuitive. There are affordances in the control scheme of this type of game: the button i use to select a unit should not be same one I use to move the unit. I shouldn't have to unselect a unit before selecting another. That's probably only a problem because we made the same mouse button do everything. The story is a tad generic. Oh the alliance is "capitalistic" and the coallition is totalitarian? with that said, I don't regret the purchase. Buy it on sale on a bundle and expect a few hours of turn-based tactics. The product is bug-free, which nowadays is not the given it should be.
A good strategy game. I had already played other similar games and so I was already very familiar with the style. I really liked Commander: Modern War, It reminds me a little of the style of StarCraft, a classic of the genre, which is a positive point for this game. I really liked the vehicles option, it makes possible all kinds os strategies during the game. I thought it gave the possibility of different directions depending on each player's strategy. I played more than one game with more than one strategy and found one or another bug, nothing that really got in the way of the experience. I think the only change that could be made at this point would be the possibility of not having to deselect units, making the game more fluid, since it is currently necessary to deselect a unit to interact with another. I found just 1 real problem in the game, however, it is linked to something that I really liked, which was the fact that it had several language options to choose from. Within these choices, I chose to play in my mother language and I noticed that at one point or another in the campaign the translation is absent, this being something that I believe can be revised to make the game run smoothly. Finally I just want to say congratulations, it’s another nice game.
Field Commander on PC.
Game is surprisingly fun for the price. It gives you total control of units you bring into the match via recruiting them as the turns go by fighting over control points. If they implement modding support I can see this game appealing to a much larger audience as well as increasing the replay-ability.
Nice game.
