Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Release an updated port of a 30+ year old game, and it's still not even the best version without mods. C'mon Squeenix. And it's all because of a pretty poor visual presentation — sure, you can turn off bilinear filtering in the game settings, but it's bugged and some textures are still filtered anyway. I actually do recommend this if you can grab it for around $5 and/or are comfortable installing the "Chrono Trigger Pixel Demaster" mod from Nexus to improve the visuals slightly. Otherwise, the SNES and DS versions have aged beautifully.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So far this version is good and I loved the original SNES and played that over and voer. If you want to play an great old school JRPG than I recommend this game to anyone.

For the first time playing this game, I was so confused with the path I have to choose. Because the game itself didn't say anything about what path I should take, what next I should move, etc. Even I need to ask into AI sloppeh and find the recommended walkthrough to understand and know what path I would take next. The rest? This game is the best, and very recommended. I wonder why Square Enix ♥♥♥♥ doesnt want to remake this game yet into more better graphics, and better design as well, and still focus on Final Fantasy only, while they have one of the best game in game industry.
A genuine great classic game, I played it thanks to my friend its his favorite game. I don’t usually binge games but it was honestly really fun to play I enjoyed the combat a lot all the interactions with the characters with their own duo moves are really cool also the ost is amazing it’s just wonderful and peaceful. It is truly a great game for its time. I fully recommend it to anyone looking for a new jrpg :D
