Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 20 → 6.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Lead the last survivors in the aftermath of the Cataclismo as a corrupted world seeks to destroy all that remains of humanity. Build fortresses brick by brick, designing intricate, towering structures of wood and stone to fend off waves of Horrors as they attempt to overwhelm your band of survivors. Command powerful units in their stalwart defense, coordinating their varied capabilities as you race from breach to breach. Lead forays into the unknown to secure the vital resources needed to grow your military might and construction capabilities as you hold fast against the ever-growing onslaught – siege after siege, night after night.

Far from the relative safety of the Last City, your citadels and outposts hold back the hordes of Horrors before they can strike at the heart of humanity. Build impregnable fortresses across multiple biomes using an intricate building system that allows you to design your defenses with full freedom and strategic creativity, adapting your plans to the surrounding environment. Take advantage of natural chokepoints, height advantages, and local resources as you strategize for the challenge of each upcoming night’s attack.
A highly modular building system allows you to design your fortresses exactly as you desire – one piece at a time, with blueprints you have designed in advance, or using community creations shared by other players. Use your hard-earned resources to build structures that grant access to previously unreachable parts of the map, or construct fortifications that deny the Horrors access and provide your troops safe vantage points.
Build cheaply and quickly using wood, or establish quarries and use durable stone to better withstand the onslaught. Keep an eye on structural integrity and load-bearing columns as falling pieces will kill friend and foe alike, often creating unique opportunities to crush numerous enemies with cleverly placed vulnerabilities.
Adapt your fortress to growing needs as you acquire new tools and expand in an attempt to secure all the resources needed to sustain a powerful defensive force. Optimize the path from resource deposits to your warehouses with well placed structures and use rooftop construction to make the most of your limited space.

Though the Horrors may test your defenses during the day, only at night do they pour forth in full force. Spend your days exploring the world and pursuing the growth of your fortress, but as the sun starts to set, you would be wise to position your forces in preparation for the night’s onslaught.
Skillfully command soldiers ranging from sharp-eyed bowmen to explosive cannoneers to respond to an ever-evolving situation as new Horrors emerge. Draw the enemy into chokepoints lined with devastating traps and ambush them raining down fire arrows and pots of poison flung from your battlements. Maneuver your troops into precise tactical positions to take advantage of special traits and abilities made available as they upgrade, positioning them at heights that let them perform at their best – a wise architect can design fortresses that allow for a tiered defense.
Build vital structures to sustain your defenses against the growing threat and unlock higher levels of prosperity alongside new technologies. Resource gathering outposts, unit recruitment centers, and housing for your citizens all directly and indirectly support your troops in their efforts. Should the walls falter, even your citizens' homes can be used as a secondary layer of defense – you must protect the citadel at all costs.

Cataclismo contains all three of: an epic single-player narrative campaign; a skirmish mode featuring hand-crafted maps; and an endlessly replayable challenge mode that puts you to the test on procedurally generated maps where you fend off increasingly dangerous waves of Horrors. A complex map editor gives you the ability to design and share skirmish maps of your own to challenge the community while the intricate construction system will allow the architecturally inclined to build and share blueprints and help others in their defense against the Horrors.
The Cataclismo left the world devastated. But all hope is not lost – lead humanity through the darkness to a bright future as you design grand fortresses and command troops in real-time battles against a seemingly endless horde that will stop at nothing to see your people destroyed.

Reviews
This game is so special I wish I paid full price. The videos and screenshots look shallow, the reviews are not hitting the nail. This game is a beauty, it brings something different but in a way that is familiar and easy to grasp the mechanics. I am amazed and enchanted by its beauty. What I dislike is enemies attacking from so many sides seemingly at random, once they go this way, then that way... It is both unrealistic and painfully forces players into massive micromanagement.

Repetitive and unintuitive. Was refused a refund as well. feels unfinished and there are some graphical issues I cant get past in tis day and age. Its a nice art style but very repetitive with blocks. Wanted to love this but I feel like it will collect dust in my library now. The fact they have a DLC coming out before fixing some of the issues others have mentioned also worries me about the standards this company has. Hopefully things are fixed and I can try this again and leave a better review. Performance issues with the specs I have shouldnt be a thing either.
The Architecture of Grief: Why Cataclismo is a Masterpiece of Measured Despair
Cataclismo is not merely a game about building walls; it is a game about the inevitability of the fall. Developed by Digital Sun—the minds who gave us the mercantile charm of Moonlighter—this title swaps the shopkeeper’s apron for the architect’s blueprint and the survivor’s desperation. It is a somber, tactile, and occasionally frustrating meditation on what it means to hold the line against a world that has already ended.

Brick by Bloody Brick
The soul of Cataclismo lies in its tactility. Unlike the prefab, "click-and-forget" defenses of traditional RTS titles, here you are an engineer. You aren't just placing a "Wall Level 3"; you are stacking stone, bracing arches, and calculating the structural integrity of a wooden scaffolding that feels one sneeze away from collapse. There is a meditative, almost Lego-like joy in the construction phase. But the game never lets you get too comfortable. The Mist is always there, breathing down your neck. The "brick-by-brick" mechanic transforms the strategy genre into something more intimate. When a section of your rampart crumbles under the weight of a Horror horde, you don’t just feel a loss of "HP"—you feel the failure of your own design.
The Friction of Survival
The community is divided on the game’s pacing and logic, and I understand why. The game demands a specific kind of architectural literacy that can feel like a barrier to entry. To some, the requirement for stairs to transport oxygen or the finicky nature of roof placement is "clunky." To me? It is the friction that makes the survival feel earned. Cataclismo asks you to care about the logistics of living in a dying world. If it were "braindead easy," the victory would taste like ash. However, the critics are right about the tempo: the campaign can feel like a slow-burn candle in a room filled with nitroglycerin. If you are looking for the hyper-caffeinated APM of StarCraft, you are in the wrong graveyard.
A Melancholy Masterclass in Style
Visually, the game is an absolute triumph. It utilizes a cel-shaded, grim-dark aesthetic that feels like a woodcut illustration come to life. The way the blue light of your flickering lanterns cuts through the oppressive grey of the Mist creates an atmosphere of lonely defiance.

The Soundscape: Haunting, minimal, and punctuated by the terrifying skittering of things that should not be.
The Combat: A frantic blend of tactical unit placement and "Oh god, I forgot to reinforce that corner."
The Story: While some find it "dull," I find it refreshingly understated. It’s a story told through the environment as much as the cutscenes.

The Verdict
Cataclismo is a game for the patient, the meticulous, and those who find beauty in a well-placed stone. It is a "perfect blend of a tower defense game wrapped up in an RTS package," but it demands your respect and your time. It doesn't want to be "fixed" into a mindless clicker; it wants you to struggle against the dark. If you can handle the "fiddliness" of its building logic and the occasionally glacial pace of its narrative, you will find one of the most unique strategy experiences of the decade. Final Thought: Build high, build strong, and don't forget the stairs. The Mist doesn't care about your excuses. Highly Recommended for those who find peace in the rubble.
The game asks too much of your time for not much payoff. Building walls isn't that satisfying, but you'll be doing it alot. Placing air filters is required, but you'll be wasting time building a pile of stairs that never feels great to build. Defending against waves is no stress because you have the ultimate power save/load in universe even. So that part also falls flat. The game has no tension, and the building isn't satisfying.
ES: El juego de estrategia en tiempo real más impresionante que he jugado en los últimos años. Combina la construcción de ciudades con la defensa de torres de la forma más increíble que puedas imaginar para dar una experiencia totalmente nueva e inmersiva. 10/10 ------------------- EN: The most impressive real-time strategy game I've played in recent years. It combines city building with tower defense in the most incredible way imaginable to create a totally new and immersive experience. 10/10
Really good unique and fun game. Good replayability and developers are constantly putting out new maps and updates. a lot of fun for a beta and well polished. Great job.
