About
Since the premiere, Frostpunk has been enriched with a number of updates. You can enjoy the new Endless Mode that increases the replayability of the game. There is also a new scenario - The Fall of Winterhome, that further expands the game’s universe and lore. And as a final treat, we’ve added things like naming characters and automatons and a photo mode. All of this is available for free for all the owners of the game. There are also three expansions, available with the paid Season Pass.
Although we are no longer planning further development for the original version of Frostpunk, the possibility of reliving the founding story of New London is rising on the horizon. Frostpunk 1886 will be a reimagination of the original game - remade entirely in Unreal Engine and enriched with new content.
It will combine 70% of the original experience with 30% brand-new material, offering fresh ways to shape your society for seasoned veterans, while also serving as a great entry point to the franchise for newcomers.
We’re committed to launching the game in 2027. As the date approaches, you can expect more exciting updates, a first look at gameplay, and behind-the-scenes content, so be sure to wishlist it and follow our social media channels to be the first to know about future updates!

Frostpunk is a society survival game where heat means life and every decision comes at a price. In an entirely frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. You face the task of building the last city on Earth and securing the means necessary for your community to survive.
Optimization and resource management often clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. While city and society management will consume most of the ruler’s time, at some point exploration of the outside world is necessary to understand its history and present state.
What decisions will you make to ensure the survival of your society? What will you do when pushed to the limit? And who will you become in the process?
Establish laws that regulate the existence of your growing society. Decide on their working routine, healthcare, food provision and other crucial aspects of everyday life. Maintain their hope and contentment – the moral condition of your society is as important as securing the basic means to keep them fed and safe.

If you reach a turning point, do not hesitate to determine the path of your people. Should you rule them with an iron fist... or show them a way of compassion and faith? Reach for extremes or try to find a fair balance. Whichever you choose, remember: there’s no turning back.

Some of your decisions will seem small – like deciding the fate of a troubled citizen or meeting the demands of a newborn faction – but be aware that the sum of your doings can lead to unexpected results. Your people put their faith in you, but their devotion is not limitless. Leadership can be a burden.

Survival demands progress. React to current events, but don’t forget about the long term and investing in development and technological progress. Providing a highly advanced infrastructure with self-powered automatons, airships, and other technical wonders is difficult, but achievable. It all depends on your management and leadership skills.

While New London is your main focus, there is much more to the world than what lies within the limits of your city. Expeditions, while risky, can bring you valuable intel, precious supplies and grow your society’s population. There may be people out there, and their fate lies solely in your hands.

Frostpunk Endless Mode grants you unlimited replayability for the game. Play on 8 various maps, with different terrain, weather conditions and challenges to face. We know that different people look for different experiences and that’s why there are 3 modes to play in Endless Mode. Endurance will be an ultimate test to your building, managing and survival skills in the harshest conditions. Builders, where there is no generator available from the start, which creates a different type of challenge. And last but not least, Serenity which is focused on enjoying the art of building the city itself, without unnecessary pressure.

10/10 i beat the game the city survived 140 people died i got a cutscene about hope and perseverance bro i just committed 47 war crimes don't talk to me about hope — me, a monster, crying
Just completed the main campaign and I can confidently say It completely captivated me from start to finish. I'm genuinely surprised this game doesn't have an O+ rating on Steam. This game exceeded every expectation I had. If you're considering playing it, few things you might wanna know and things that I love about this game: 1. You're constantly under pressure and isn't a game you play to unwind. 2. Difficult decisions, resource management, and survival strategy. 3. My favorite part were the moral dilemmas. There are rarely any "right" choices, only consequences. 4. The atmosphere and ambiance are fantastic. I think most people will enjoy them regardless of their personal preferences. 5. The game felt difficult, I guess this was my 4-5 run (normal diff). I avoided online guides and I'd recommend you the same, there's a different kind of dopamine hit that comes from figuring things out through trial and error. Very hard to be optimal in this game, some things will definetly go wrong. This def adds to the experience. Some bad things: 1. Tho there are ingame tutorials, they weren't really helpful for me. 2. Some mechanics take a little while to understand. The ending was unforgettable. I'm definetly buying all DLCs (on sale ofc). "The cold wasn't the hardest enemy, my own choices were."

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 15.88/day in the week to Jul 21 → 28/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Frostpunk is one of the best games I have ever played. I do not like city builder games and yet FP froze my heart in a way I have never felt before. Never have I seen such a amazing mix of strategy and morality played with and against each other in such a fascinating way throughout the main and DLC story's that ultimately asks the player, whats the temperature of your morality? If you are interested in the game I highly suggest you get it. It is worth it value full price, but if you strapped for cash than wait for a sale as you can get the full game and all DLC (which are all worth your money) for around 3$ at certain event/sales.
Nice game but it's quite difficult and it takes time. Frostpunk 7/10 Heisen
Amazing and depressing at the same time. Especially the soundtrack and letting people eat saw dust? lol this is a hard strategy game. hard because i can't maneuver the camera and go to the back part of the city. plus it's full of smog and smoke i cant see anything lol. Other than that 8/10
非常卡,3A都沒有這麼卡
One of the best city builder survival style game out there Extremely challenging at times and super fun I really enjoyed it, would recommend
Great game, like civilization, but with the apocalyptic pressure scenarios and a human factor involved.
