Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 20 → 6.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Lead the last survivors in the aftermath of the Cataclismo as a corrupted world seeks to destroy all that remains of humanity. Build fortresses brick by brick, designing intricate, towering structures of wood and stone to fend off waves of Horrors as they attempt to overwhelm your band of survivors. Command powerful units in their stalwart defense, coordinating their varied capabilities as you race from breach to breach. Lead forays into the unknown to secure the vital resources needed to grow your military might and construction capabilities as you hold fast against the ever-growing onslaught – siege after siege, night after night.

Far from the relative safety of the Last City, your citadels and outposts hold back the hordes of Horrors before they can strike at the heart of humanity. Build impregnable fortresses across multiple biomes using an intricate building system that allows you to design your defenses with full freedom and strategic creativity, adapting your plans to the surrounding environment. Take advantage of natural chokepoints, height advantages, and local resources as you strategize for the challenge of each upcoming night’s attack.
A highly modular building system allows you to design your fortresses exactly as you desire – one piece at a time, with blueprints you have designed in advance, or using community creations shared by other players. Use your hard-earned resources to build structures that grant access to previously unreachable parts of the map, or construct fortifications that deny the Horrors access and provide your troops safe vantage points.
Build cheaply and quickly using wood, or establish quarries and use durable stone to better withstand the onslaught. Keep an eye on structural integrity and load-bearing columns as falling pieces will kill friend and foe alike, often creating unique opportunities to crush numerous enemies with cleverly placed vulnerabilities.
Adapt your fortress to growing needs as you acquire new tools and expand in an attempt to secure all the resources needed to sustain a powerful defensive force. Optimize the path from resource deposits to your warehouses with well placed structures and use rooftop construction to make the most of your limited space.

Though the Horrors may test your defenses during the day, only at night do they pour forth in full force. Spend your days exploring the world and pursuing the growth of your fortress, but as the sun starts to set, you would be wise to position your forces in preparation for the night’s onslaught.
Skillfully command soldiers ranging from sharp-eyed bowmen to explosive cannoneers to respond to an ever-evolving situation as new Horrors emerge. Draw the enemy into chokepoints lined with devastating traps and ambush them raining down fire arrows and pots of poison flung from your battlements. Maneuver your troops into precise tactical positions to take advantage of special traits and abilities made available as they upgrade, positioning them at heights that let them perform at their best – a wise architect can design fortresses that allow for a tiered defense.
Build vital structures to sustain your defenses against the growing threat and unlock higher levels of prosperity alongside new technologies. Resource gathering outposts, unit recruitment centers, and housing for your citizens all directly and indirectly support your troops in their efforts. Should the walls falter, even your citizens' homes can be used as a secondary layer of defense – you must protect the citadel at all costs.

Cataclismo contains all three of: an epic single-player narrative campaign; a skirmish mode featuring hand-crafted maps; and an endlessly replayable challenge mode that puts you to the test on procedurally generated maps where you fend off increasingly dangerous waves of Horrors. A complex map editor gives you the ability to design and share skirmish maps of your own to challenge the community while the intricate construction system will allow the architecturally inclined to build and share blueprints and help others in their defense against the Horrors.
The Cataclismo left the world devastated. But all hope is not lost – lead humanity through the darkness to a bright future as you design grand fortresses and command troops in real-time battles against a seemingly endless horde that will stop at nothing to see your people destroyed.

Please for the love of god, fix the enemy pathing and map layout in Old kingdom Game is fun, Old Kingdom is fun but jesus having the enemy undertake some bs cross map adventure to avoid my walls in this game of building walls is boring, extremely unsatisfying, frustrating and just makes me not want to play, As any walls I build are next to useless unless its either so close to the border I'm spawn camping or so large their is no physical way around it, which leads me to my next point which is that map layout in old kingdom is just plain bad, their extremely open with annoying mist rivers and spots preventing clean walls and chokepoints which combined with the frankly bs enemy pathing, means that your forced into building small isolated walls which the enemy will path around or making some massive ass wall that looks fugly as ♥♥♥♥ and is only possible on the second map which has too many resources and not at all possible on the other maps which manage to be just as open (to the enemy not to you) and give you no resources Speaking of resources the resource allocation is nonense on the second map by day 10 it produces so many resources I could be burning them while every other map is poverty central with how storage and cavavans work its slow and painful to expand

I'm sure this is a great game for some, and there's plenty of cool mechanics like the stacking of bricks building an actual stronger wall, but honestly I just get bored. The story was cool, but you spend a lot of time doing the same things over and over again. This wouldn't be a problem if you could diversify your builds, but you just spend copying the same things you've made before. Like it's interesting that you can build a house on top of 4 houses, but since that's the optimal way to play you might as well just have one building that's 5 houses grouped that way. Also the oxygen generation felt more annoying than challenging. The game suggests placing them on houses, but the 5 houses you build to get to peak height for your oxygen gathering already take away a big chunk from the oxygen. You could place them on walls, but you need those to defend your castle, so you need the space. In any case it started out really cool, but after having played some story missions I found myself more frustrated than challenged.
TL;DR : I would have absolutely recommended this game if not for the awful performance issues. devs need to stop mocking their players and the money they've invested in their gaming rig. I really like what the devs have gone for with this game, it works nicely too. if the idea of building up your defenses, rising up walls in which you'll slot your units coupled with a resource management city builder aspect appeals to you, the game delivers on this front, the gameplay loop is very enjoyable. I enjoy the artstyle too, reminds of age of empires 4. the music, i don't know how much people will enjoy it, for me it's highly appreciated. it's melancholic melodic lines played on a classical guitar, heavily rooted in hispanic sounds, if you can enjoy it it's really nice. now the AI of your troops sucks and it can be a struggle to get them in formation/where you want them to be but well, for the most part you're only going to assign them individually to locations you've built inside of your walls, so no issue there, the issue really only arises when marching with a stack of troops, which isn't that often overall. also the game badly lacks see through camera (objects becoming partially invisible when within a certain distance of your camera), it would help tremendously and would even enable additional building styles. now the performance is shameful, no other way to put it. during attacks i'm not even able to maintain 60 fps with settings on low, and i'm running this on a high end rig (cost me 3K5+) from 4 years ago. for comparison, darktide has about 10 times more detailed graphics, hordes with billions more units (in higher difficulties), is made by a company that is definitely not known for their optimization prowess, yet i'm still able to maintain about double the framerate in darktide than in this. BS. edit : finished the campaign and the last cinematic froze after a few seconds, let me tell you I am NOT replaying through the slog that the last level is just for a chance to get the cinematic again (without it freezing). mentioned this to illustrate how catastrophic the technical aspect of this game is. maybe i'll get the end of the story on youtube. so to be honest, if you're interested in this, i suggest you start saving now for the next billion dollars rig you're gonna have to buy so you can run brand new games at 20 fps, by looking for this game over the high seas.
