The concept of this game is really cool but it just ends up feeling annoying and unfair in my opinion. I have 100%ed every Souls and Souls adjacent Fromsoft game so I have no issue with a challenge, I just get aggravated when I am 20+ minutes into a good run and 2 tiny little imps with bombs that do half your total hp each walk up behind you and just immediately end your entire run from max health in an instant. This is on easy difficulty btw.
I can recommend this game to anyone who enjoys the FPS genre and if you like rythm games, even more so. Its truely the most engaging and fun game I played in a long time.

Seems like a great concept but I cant for the life of me understand why you would add an auto aim lock mechanic that you cant disable to a game like this. The music is awesome. When I first opened the game the menu gave me hope for how smooth of a pure aim experience I was about to have and then I was completely disappointed.
Lack of a tuturial or introduction. gun has limited range. Everything does same amount of damage, no between run progression. RNG based runs. Game doesn't reward time spent on it. Very hard to progress
Хорошая игра. Для меня была первой в таком жанре. Тежело было с визуалом по началу, но потом привыкаешь. Жаль не все ачивки осилил. Тяжело
A game completely reliant on having good RNG before you're allowed to see the rest of it. Play Metal: Hellsinger instead.
If you dont mind dying over and over again and enjoy kick ass music and a mediocre shooter you will love this game. I honestly love this game but no real save feature kinda sucks. It does kinda save your progress but by the time you die for the first few times you get the idea behind the game and start to love or hate it. I raged quite it but still enjoyed it saying okay one more time. I played super meat boy but that was a diffrent kind of rage quit back on the xbox 360 but this rage quit was like I can do it better faster. Starting over wasnt as bad as the first few times as you get better and more used to it you brease threw the first level after a few time. The diffrent challenge i unlocked so far also seem fun to try but I haven't beaten the main game yet I keep dying on lv 3 lol. Honestly i was suprised this wasnt a top down shooter and not surprised its getting a new 8bit do over soon. I will be buying that one when it comes out. Still worth it in 2026
This game is really good. I wanted to like it more; enough to recommend. But speaking for myself, it's missing too much. Pros: - Music is great with clear down beats. - Number / assortment of special items - Reloading also follows a rhythm so it feels as cool as shooting Cons: - Rhythm combos are only worth points, no tangible in-game incentive - Starting pistol has practically no range, to the point of it not making sense - Power scaling is wonky. Tiny flies are more dangerous than mini-bosses - Over-saturated visuals that make it more difficult to see the world in-game
such an amazing game. I have played it so much beating the game with each character on hellish one of which took me almost 1,400 attempts mind you. its an amazing experience the gunplay is tight and secrets can be found if your willing to explore. the only gripe I have on this game is the guardians depending on the angle of dodge can still hit you at times even if you dodge on the beat.
There are dozens of better FPS roguelikes and dozens of better rhythm games. I don't remember off hand if the few other FPS Rhythm games are any better (edit: Metal Hellsinger is way better but not a roguelike), but this one just doesn't feel good. Lame enemies, anemic weapons, attacks don't stand out well against the monochrome environments, and it constantly makes you waste resources because it doesn't explain level features well. Music is terrible, extended wailing guitars with the drum and bass either too quiet or non existent for a rhythm game. I did manage to get a Hotline Miami track working with the custom soundtrack, and the game immediately became easier because I could actually hear a beat. It still wasn't fun to play.
