Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 56.83/day in the week to Jul 17 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is one of my absolute favorite games and its one I play a bit obsessively. I don't think its for everyone, matter of fact I can totally see where some people think its boring, repetitive, or too complicated BUT I think if you like spending hours vaguely unsure about what you're doing, learning through trial and error instead of being able to figure things out on your first or second try and consulting the wiki like you're frantically trying to finish writing an essay last minute, then I think this is your game! It's incredibly addicting, the lore is fascinating and difficult to piece together (but when you finally figure something out its so rewarding), and there are like a thousand different endings which I appreciate. This game is also incredibly forgiving, I've never felt like I've made such a bad mistake I'd have to restart a playthrough or anything like that which is comforting in such a complicated game. I will also say, fair warning, this game is super heavy on the reading and nothing is written plainly so if you're not into trying to wrap your head around vague and enigmatic occult texts this might not be for you.

I just finished my first run of the game (Took around 40 hours, I went in blind). I highly recommend picking this up. It's definitely not for everyone, but the game really doesn't try to be. You get thrown in with almost no tutorial, and instructions tend to be quite cryptic, at times convoluted and at times almost non-existent. Expect to spend a good chunk of time trying to figure the game out. This is the type of game where you're constantly going "wait, that's a thing I can do??" and facepalming because you've been making life harder for yourself up until that point. And I know that it sounds like a frustrating experience (and it is, in most games), but because of how Book of Hours is set up, you'll find yourself being proud of figuring things out rather than upset. This game is also pretty innovative gameplay-wise. The only thing out there that gets close to it is Cultist Simulator (by the same devs). I would define it as a resources-management game with crafting elements and a time mechanic (some resources "reset" every in-game day). But the game really doesn't put any pressure on you. It simply throws you right into it and lets you figure things out at your own pace. I recommend going in as blind as you can. There's wikis and great guides out there, but I'd recommend trying to figure things out on your own as much as you can.
The game is a bit overwhelming at first. It's not overtly clear what the objective is or what you're even supposed to be doing. BUT! Once you get the hang of it, start delving into the lore and unlock more areas, there is a wide open world hidden in the books, people and gameplay. Think of it like this: there are hundreds of roads before you, but you have no map, no compass, and your only directions are in hieroglyphics. Just start walking. There's always a road ahead and it's a hell of a view.
It's the same concept as Cultist Simulator. And in both games I have no idea what I am doing. It's just frustrating.
This game is ridiculously hard-- not because it's actually difficult, but because you have no idea what's going on. There's no tutorial and no help at all; the only reason. It says the game is very forgiving, because you can take all the time you need to figure it out and you won't ever permanently lose anything, and that's true, but you can still screw up and waste materials you don't know how to get back yet. There's been at least three times now that I was completely stuck, and then discovered whole mechanics I was supposed to have been using from the beginning. That all sounds really negative, but it's not. This game is amazing. Figuring it out gives you an extremely rich sense of exploration, progression, and problem solving. I feel extremely clever playing this game, as someone who theoretically likes puzzle games but sucks at solving puzzles. This game is open-ended enough that you'll be able to approach your solutions in loads of different ways, making use of what happens to be available to you at that moment. I've barely even started this game, by the way. There's a LOT more. I bet you spend *most* of the game having mastery of the mechanics-- but it's going to take a long and exciting period of discovery to get there.
