Takes a few hours to gain momentum. The game is fine and even enjoyable at points, but it seems to want you to play it multiple times, which I don't appreciate. Quests are too obscure, and I felt that my time was not respected.

Fun game, though difficult at times. The challenge adds more to the game than takes away from it. Very satisfying finishing it.
First of all, do yourself a HUGE favor and save up 20k tears ASAP so that as soon as the chapel in Albero opens up you can donate that amount and unlock the ability to teleport between shrines. You can thank me later. Secondly, this recc comes with caveats, because as I've said in my other reviews of Metroidvania games, it sucks to be one in a world where Hollow Knight exists with a $15 price point. That being said, if you don't mind the inherently gruesomely-blasphemous nature of the game, the story here I would argue is on par with that of HK, but the gameplay is definitely not as clean or crisp. I did two playthroughs in about 40 hours, Ending C the first time (I'd gotten B2 on sale which is what prompted my return to B1 in the first place) and Ending A the second (got B the first time I played however many years ago that was), intentionally unlocking achievements along the way. It's on sale atm for less than 10 and I'd say it's for sure worth that.
