Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In my personal opinion, this game feels far more refined than the first game, it feels like what they wanted the first one to be. clearly they listened to player feedback as elements from the first game were reworked in the second. coming from the first game, it was quite a change, controls were different, mechanics just felt wrong, but after i gave it time to really figure out the changes, and i rebound some keybinds to keep to the first game as much as possible, it grew on me. Another note, if your game crashes repeatedly, use DXVK. following this goated guys guide https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3319446016 without them, i wouldn't have been able to play the game.
Of course it's a amazing, all bioshocks are amazing

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game is a worthy sequel to the first game even though the story and gameplay are inferior, in my opinion. I could never use dual wielding efficiently having to keep track of too many elements at times and constant screen shaking gave me motion sickness. The whole story itself can be figured out in the first hour of gameplay. Regardless it's a game worth playing.
Bioshock 2 is not just an improved version of the first game, but a completion—it fills the gap left in Bioshock, aging like fine wine. In this world, we experience what it’s like to live as the franchise’s main mascot because the first game failed to introduce the player to who the 'Big Daddies' are. After all, who has never wanted to be a Big Daddy while playing Bioshock? On a scale from zero to ten, Bioshock 2 is a well-deserved 8.
A timeless Classic!
A very enjoyable experience but not without its flaws. The big gimmick of BioShock 2 is that you get to play as a big daddy, and by the end of the game you certainly feel like one! Weapons are sort of beefier versions of those from the first game, you fight stronger enemies to even out the balance between being powerful and still being challenged, the sound design for your character is revamped to make the feeling even more believable, and the game features segments where you have to defend little sisters when they harvest ADAM. The game just about perfectly fulfills that power fantasy. However, it's not without its flaws. The story is perfectly serviceable and even has some memorable highlights, but it is largely inferior to the first games'. Lamb just isn't as compelling a villain as Ryan when he's very similar to the kind of maniacs who run industry in the real world. The philosophy of Anarcho-Capitalism feels like a much more real threat when compared to Lamb's radical collectivism. Levels also had a bit of a downgrade, though only slightly. Sound design for certain elements such as enemies is buggy or unpolished at times, with enemies often sounding like they're right on top of you when they're in the next room. During those previously mentioned little sister defence segments, enemies also spawn in seemingly impossibly locations instead of plausible ones, so trap laying tends to be a bit of waste. It's also worth noting that this is not the best port. Controls (especially for UI elements) are a bit janky, the FOV is incredibly low, and the game is very unstable. You can fix those up by remapping some controls, editing command lines when the game starts, and adjusting some of the game files respectively. Though that's a lot of extra work and even then the problems still persist mildly. All that said, I still strongly recommend that you play BioShock 2 if you're at all a fan of the first game.
