Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

very very very very disappointing. i prefer action to CRPG combat so i was cautiously hopeful for avowed, but the writing is a massive step down from pillars of eternity 1 and 2, both in terms of the overarching narrative and individual character dialogue where the pillars games were confident in the seriousness and nuance of their setting and reflected this in their dialogue, avowed falls back to the insufferable quippy "marvel" writing that has plagued high budget games for however many years now. everything is more cartoonish, from the factions, to the quests, to the companions. the pillars games had moments of humour and levity, but the "jokes" in avowed are relentless. your companions butt in every three sentences with a "well, that just happened" tier quip. npcs all feel like they're performing bits at you. the large majority of the skill check dialogues are too cringe to pick, and that's even ignoring the fact you're meant to be roleplaying a high ranking diplomat. the world avowed creates is a lot more reminiscent of fallout 4 than the franchise it's meant to be a continuation of, which is a massive letdown one side quest stood out to me as a good example of avowed's approach to writing. in short, you help the woman running a bathhouse/brothel retrieve a package, and upon some prying you find out it's a contraceptive herb. a contraceptive herb the empire you're an envoy of banned about ten years ago, leading to the arrest and subsequent disappearance of the woman's mother, who was something of a local reproductive rights champion. so, do you approve of banning contraceptives, player? do you enjoy ruining people's lives, player? will you snitch on this woman too, player? let's be real, that's neither interesting writing nor even an effective allegory for current events. you are not given any more context for why the herb was banned, there's no mention of any changing attitudes either among the populace at large or just the ruling elite, absolutely no attempt to tie this into the politics or history of eora, no attempt to make this reveal cohere with the world at large. you're just told it was banned not too long ago and asked if you're a mean enough bastard to enforce that ban yourself. it's shallow and lazy in a way the previous pillars games simply were not, and those games were plenty woke themselves! the game loves to mention events and proper nouns from the previous games, but all it does is make me want to go back and replay them instead. writing aside, the game is piss easy. i played a wizard at normal difficulty and every combat encounter has posed absolutely no threat to me whatsoever, leaving me drowning in potions and resources and crafting materials i don't need to use only 11 hours into the game. the game is pretty, but the aesthetic suffers from not having the high fidelity of the isometric games. also, the game runs like ♥♥♥♥ and turning off raytracing doesn't help i hope this isn't the last we'll see of eora, but given the way xbox is being managed, i wouldn't be surprised if obsidian was either not long for this world or about to spend the next decade churning out more mediocre mass market garbage like this. i'll keep playing until i get too bored to continue, but to be honest i don't have much hope that the game can turn itself around.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Masterpiece
How this got approved for Steam Deck is beyond me, along with all the other UE5 games. 25fps max at decent resolution or 60fps at worse quality than Fallout New Vegas is like voting in a US election - not much of a choice. Such a shame. I was really dying for another good RPG, but unless this game gets better optimized or I get a proper gaming PC, this will remain unplayed until further notice. TLDR: my bad, this is a UE5 game, runs poorly on deck. Don't buy if it isn't an amazing sale and you're willing to wait to upgrade specs.
Очень посредственен каждый элемент игры
I kickstarted the original pillars of eternity. I liked that game a lot. The 2nd game....was a bit hit and miss. This one was mostly a miss. I didn't really feel connection to the game or the world and frankly 11 hours in and I was bored. Its not a terrible game. Its not a bad game. Its just not a very interesting game. Its not buggy. It looks nice. But in the end...I lost interest in it.
There's nothing groundbreaking about this game, but it doesn't deserve the "mostly positive" rating that it has now: it's a very good RPG in the traditional BioWare/Obsidian style with good mechanics and solid writing.
Nothing about this game is bad, just isn't necessarily good. Combat feels too clunky to enjoy properly. I fully admit this may be just me, but the gameplay loop does not feel rewarding.
Absolutely amazing game. Incredible story. Companions that actually grow over your travels. The maps are beautiful and each one leaves an impression. The combat system is peak. Have fun casting spells and shooting blunderbuss'.
Got the game just in time to play as my favorite race, aumaua. Four huge maps that are fun to explore, fantastic voice acting (Sappy & Yatzli are my personal favorites), a bunch of pretty-looking spells and overall a super fun time. This game won't change your life, but it will give you a stunning world to get lost in and a break from all the stress. (reinstalled Mass Effect for some reason hmm)
