Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

Oh hell naw. The "good will" that I have been willing to give developers has reached a deficit. They owe ME at this point. I need to see a game that captivates and delivers quality. I need to see that you DESIRE me as a customer, not throwing down slop as if I should be thankful to have it. I am not giving games "the benefit of the doubt", anymore. I have to EARN my money....so should they. So when I fell through the damn map at the hour and a half point; I had enough. Already, within the first section, I have seen a partially-rendered world which failed to present me with GROUND! Seriously?! The gameplay itself, what little I got in, seemed alright; except for the fact that shooting a bow felt a tad "off". That, could just be me trying to adjust to it, though. However, I am old enough to remember New Vegas. I remember falling through THAT map, too. At least those times had the excuse of me trying to rock hop up a mountain instead of taking the "long way". This time, I was on a ROAD....just outside the first campsite.....barely in the "open" world. Maybe, a couple years from now, when it gets to be 80% off; I'll try it again. However, I have now seen what companies can do with a "$40" game. I have seen games released THIS YEAR....IN EARLY ACCESS....FOR LESS....doing a better job than this dumpster fire. Save your money. Save it for this and save it for whatever garbage they'll churn out later. You waited this long....might as well wait for it to be, either, fixed; or, at least, the ACTUAL price the "effort" is worth. Twenty bucks is all I'd give them...and THAT only if I had nothing else to play.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I can recommend Avowed, it was a pretty good RPG with a couple of flaws, but also some things done very well. I'll list the things I liked, and some stuff that was just okay or kinda meh. I think the exploration was one of its strongest points. It feels natural, the locations look beautiful, and there are many great secrets to discover. The 'platforming' with ledge grabbing felt great, and using that to discover hidden things was fun. The locations are also really diverse, and the world building is stunning, and the graphics as well on max settings. The combat was also good, there are three major 'classes' to choose from with perks, but you can also mix and match. I've played both the rogue/ranger, the fighter and the wizard. Although it felt good, it did get repetitive, but respeccing was very easy, which I liked, so playing all the different classes in one playthrough did help to keep it fun. The quests and their objectives were also fun. It had a nice variety, and many quests give you choices that change the quest's outcome, including the main story. I also thought the main story was pretty good and interesting. Although some parts can drag on a bit at some point, but I don't want to spoil it. The things that were just okay are the companions. I didn't really like nor dislike them, but they were just okay. They weren't that interesting, nor did their writing really intrigue me, but it also didn't annoy me. So it was pretty okay. Same with the overall writing and dialogue, some parts were well written and interesting, some parts were boring and dragged on a bit too long, but overall it was pretty okay. I think the gear and its progression were also just fine. I liked discovering unique loot with their unique perks, but upgrading them was just fine. You have to upgrade it not just for their passive buffs, but also to not get overwhelmed in combat, as having too low an item level gives you an invisible debuff against enemies. Although the party does speak on it, suggesting you should upgrade your gear. I do think the game could use more enemy variety, it did get a little repetitive after a while. While the enemies themselves are good, I do wish for more. Many people don't like that the game doesn't have a bounty system for stealing just like The Elder Scrolls, and although that would've been cool, I didn't feel this game would really benefit as much from it, as it's not as free as it. The comparisons are there, it's both a first person RPG, but Elder Scrolls feels much more open ended, and Avowed feels even more like an action RPG. It doesn't have one huge map, but rather four decent sized ones. It doesn't try to be Elder Scrolls, and I still liked Avowed for what it tried to be. When I tried Avowed on launch, I didn't like it as much. The 2.0 update did add a lot of quality of life improvements, which helped me to enjoy the game. There are more playable races, more customization options, more skills and spells, better progression, better performance, and quality of life features. I do think the intro is a little weak, but keep playing in the first big zone, as the game opens up later. So overall, I liked and can recommend Avowed. If you like first person/action RPGs (although you can also play in third person), you can give this one a try. I do think the launch price of €70 was too much for this game, but €50 is the perfect price. And it goes on sale regularly, which makes it worth even more. I had a good time with this game, and although it won't get a spot in my favorite RPGs of all time, I still had a lot of fun with it.
Kurzfassung: Die Spielwelt beeindruckt optisch, enttäuscht jedoch in beinahe allen anderen Bereichen. Man wählt Fähigkeiten frei à la Skyrim. In ausgewählten Regionen findet man legendäre Gegenstände.
An overall quality open-ish world RPG. Really fun combat with a good variety of weapons, solid progression system that doesn't feel grindy or too imposing. Story is a solid 8/10 with decent pacing throughout. You don't have one giant world, but instead several large maps packed with POIs, side quests, and a few settlements. You don't have a living breathing world like other classics like Skyrim, but the locations feel lively enough to be believable and lived in. This isn't Skyrim, RDR2, Oblivion. It's a very solid action RPG with good companions, quality dialogue, and a strong amount of choice/consequence. Things you do or do not do will impact the world in real ways. Buy on sale.
Completely broken buggy mess. Updates brick the game so no refunds.
It's okay. It has beautiful graphics, and tells a story that isn't bad. Combat is fun. The world just feels... fake. It feels like a Theme Park RPG. It's like Walt Disney went into game development and tried what he thought would be "edgy." The NPCs don't react to you at all. You can't attack friendly NPCs. You can't steal. There are experiences for you - but in designated areas. This would be a great RPG to show a family member, if they've never played a RPG before. But if you've played a lot of RPGs... while this is a nice walk in the park, you kinda just end up wishing they took more narrative risks and did more to make the world feel more reactive to what you, as a player, did.
