Assassin's Creed™ is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that redefines the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin's Creed merges technology, game design, theme and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of...

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Completely unplayable. Just trying to get screen resolution to something useable was hard enough. Then you actually get going and it is non-stop freezing. Apparently it is a known issue, but of course they keep selling a game that is unplayable on modern machines. Even if this is a few bucks, you should not waste your money.
Game is old so it lags and skips like crazy. Bought it for $19.99 and refunded it just to only get $3.54 in return.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Finished this game with 23.9 hours (I had to play majority offline because it would crash on launch when connected to the internet) I enjoyed the game and always looked forward to playing it. I am officially a fan. I enjoyed the game so much and the story. I want to play Assassin's Creed 2 now. The gameplay was pretty rich for the first entry in the series. The parkour was a bit janky and it was slow but it surprisingly required a lot of precision and skill. It didn't hold your hand when you did parkour. It felt like every chase, every climb, every tower to scale up was a mini puzzle of sorts. The combat was in-depth as well and I wish I got the hang of it more. It was mostly parry based and you need to get timings down. Button-mashing will not get you far at all. The story was engaging and thrilling. I loved Altair's development throughout and I'm curious about the story of the succeeding games. Overall a pleasant surprise and a game worth playing. Launching it is the only major gripe I have with it but the solution is simple enough. (disconnect from the internet before launching.) I'm cautiously optimistic about the rumored remake. Hopefully they capture the tone, atmosphere, and presentation of this game. 8/10 for me, the game's mission structure is repetitive, launch issue, janky but surprisingly in-depth parkour, but the game makes it up with story, presentation, characters, and gameplay as a whole. Get this game if you can. If you're a fan on the series it's definitely worth playing since this is where it all started. If you want to get into Assassin's Creed this is an excellent start since it's simple in it's ideas and controls, and easy to pick up and follow. Also Ubisoft fix this game's launch pleaseeee
1) DL Ultimate ASI Loader. 2) DL EaglePatch. 3) Put dinput8.dll from Ultimate ASI Loader into your Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition directory. 4) In your Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition directory create a folder named scripts. 5) Put EaglePatchAC1.asi and EaglePatchAC1.ini into a newly created scripts folder. 6) Check EaglePatchAC1.ini for any settings you want to enable or disable. In 6 easy steps you have done something Ubisoft should've done in 2008. In terms of a game tho, I would put this game as Mixed instead of Mostly Positive. The storyline is good but it is way too serious and I really don't like the pointless speeches that my mentor gives me because Altair made a choice against my will in the game's story. The combat is pretty good but AC2 was the pinnacle for a very long time and AC1 cannot hold a candle to it. I don't know, but as a video game, this game seems to fail in a lot of aspects and makes me wonder how AC even got off the ground if this is how it started. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled with the newer games (Like Origins, which is my favorite in the franchise). I do appreciate that a lot of the mechanics from this game made it to AC2. If I wanted to give this game more praise, I would say it's extremely original compared to the other games in the franchise. If you're looking for a game that does the formula completely different in the way that it holds itself and carries the narrative, you will like this one.
what the hell going on UBISOFT I thought I purchased the game not logo animation only !
