this game has too much content to make an in-depth review so ill just list what i liked and what i didn't WHAT I LIKED: the graphics: (most beautiful shi i ever seen) the map / setting: ANCIENT EGYPT IS AWESOME. i especially really liked the northern part of the map with cyrene, it's just peak BAYEK: HE'S LITERALLY THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS GAME. his actor is truly amazing, you can clearly tell every single emotion he's trying to convey. stealth: not as good as unity, but overall really solid and grounded. the predator bow and the tool variety make up for a smooth stealth experience. i didn't like how the hidden blade can't one shot everything though. parkour: while it is really stripped down compared to the other ac games, it's still very smooth and flowing, despite not having a lot of moves. story: it's structured well and has a reasonable pace. the ending is satisfying aswell. DLC: overall same quality as the story. although i didn't enjoy curse of the pharaohs very much, mostly due to the supernatural stuff. (and those unbalanced bosses with the god awful combat) photo mode: it makes u feel like a photographer, every single frame in this game is photo-worthy. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: horse riding: it's really slow and irritating to get from point A to B, and while theres still fast travel, the huge map makes it less effective. the combat: they tried to mimic soulslike combat, but it just got repetitive after a while, to the point it turns into spamming the instant charged strike to infinitely stun enemies. the bosses were also kinda lame, just damage sponges with no real way to counter their attack patterns. collectibles: like the combat, they get repetitive after collecting enough and they mostly serve as a distraction from the main quests. the ENTIRETY of the RPG mechanics: leveling, materials, crafting, all of that adds nothing to the actual game and just makes everything a chore, it would've been better if they made leveling only contribute to the skill tree. side quests: some were high quality and interesting , but most are just copy-pasted. examples: (rescue hostage, kill bad guy. investigate area, kill guy behind the investigation. you get it.) i ended up skipping most of the side quests, fortunately they're not needed for 100% (i think only 3 are?) BUT, even after listing those cons, i'd still say this game is really solid, and it doesn't deserve the hate for strafing away from the typical assassin's creed genre. i'd guarantee that you'll have a very fun experience playing this whether you're going for 100%, or just playing the story. 8.8/10 - Good job Ubi !

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 14.14/day in the week to Aug 12 → 32.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really enjoyed exploring the beautiful world of Ancient Egypt. The graphics still look great, and the cities, deserts, and pyramids create an amazing atmosphere. The story is good, but you are forced to play boring side missions to level up. The combat is enjoyable and fun. I really loved the game. However, after playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Origins feels like a downgrade in some ways. The combat is simpler and has fewer abilities, so battles are less exciting. There is less freedom to customize your character and weapons. The map is also smaller, with fewer activities and less variety compared to Odyssey's huge world and many islands. Traveling and exploring are still enjoyable, but Odyssey offers more content and more ways to play. Overall, Assassin's Creed Origins is an excellent game with a great story and an unforgettable main character. But if you have already played Odyssey, Origins may feel like a step back because it has fewer gameplay features, less customization, and a smaller world.
Short Review
Assassin's Creed Origins is a good open-world game wrapped around a story that never quite grabs you the way it should. Ancient Egypt is stunning to explore, the historical detail is impressive, and the gameplay loop is fun for a long time before the fatigue sets in. The combat is enjoyable but shallow once you find your preferred approach and stick to it. Worth playing for the world and exploration alone, just don't go in expecting the story to carry you through.
Full Review
Origins was Ubisoft's big reinvention of the Assassin's Creed formula, and for the most part, it works. The shift to ancient Egypt gave the series a setting with real weight and visual identity, and I came away from it having genuinely enjoyed the majority of my time there, even if some parts of the experience left me wanting more. The world and setting. This is where Origins shines brightest. The recreation of ancient Egypt is wonderful, with real attention to the details of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman culture across the different regions. The historical accuracy is strong throughout, and while there are minor issues, such as some Roman armor not being quite period-appropriate, they are nitpicks in an otherwise well-researched world. Walking through Alexandria, exploring desert tombs, or sailing along the Nile all feel like they belong to a place that actually existed, and that sense of authenticity carries a lot of the experience. The exploration. For most of my playthrough, I loved exploring what Origins had to offer. There's a lot of ground to cover and plenty of things to discover off the beaten path. That said, the fatigue does set in eventually. Open-world games of this scale often hit a point where the map starts to feel like a checklist rather than a place, and Origins is no exception. It doesn't ruin the experience, but it's worth knowing going in that the back half of a completionist run feels more like work than the front half does. The combat. The combat system is enjoyable and has more going on than previous entries in the series, but it's also pretty easy to reduce to a personal formula and coast on it. My approach ended up being: assassinate targets with the hidden blade where possible, snipe anyone exposed with the bow, and clean up stragglers in melee. Later on, I leaned heavily into sleeping darts to neutralize entire camps before walking through them. It works, it's satisfying, but it doesn't demand much creative thinking once you find your groove. It's fun, but just not that deep. The story. This is the weakest part of the game. The setup is interesting enough on paper, following Bayek's quest for revenge against the shadowy order responsible for his son's death, but the execution left me feeling like I was going through the motions rather than being pulled forward by the narrative. The characters didn't grab me the way a story of this scope ideally would, and I rarely found myself excited to see what came next. It's not a bad story, it just doesn't live up to the world it's set in. Overall. Assassin's Creed Origins is a game worth playing for its setting alone. Ancient Egypt is a remarkable backdrop, and Ubisoft did real work making it feel authentic and alive. The combat and exploration are fun for the bulk of the experience, even if both eventually plateau, and the story, while underwhelming, doesn't actively detract. If you want a big, beautiful open world to lose yourself in and you're not going in expecting a narrative masterpiece, then Origins delivers pretty darn well. 🐪💀**
❌ Outrage with Ubisoft integration Do not recommend. The game itself might be good, but the experience is ruined by the mandatory Ubisoft Connect dependency. Buying it on Steam means nothing when you’re forced to use another launcher—and worse, if you log into the wrong Ubisoft account even once, the game becomes permanently linked to it. There is no clear warning, no automatic recovery of old accounts, and Steam provides no real support in this situation. This is not a technical flaw, but a poor and consumer-unfriendly design choice. It’s extremely frustrating to pay for a game and end up trapped in a confusing, bureaucratic, and unnecessary system.
Assassin's Creed Origins – To Walk This Ancient Land
Playtime: 120 hours Assassin's Creed Origins is more than an action-adventure game; it's a breathtaking time machine. After 120 hours of exploration and a camera roll full of memories, I can safely say this is one of the most immersive worlds Ubisoft has ever crafted. I followed Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay whose personal quest for justice gradually evolved into the very foundation of the Assassin Brotherhood. The most striking feature is the sheer graphical fidelity and historical atmosphere. Whether I was scaling the Great Pyramid of Giza at sunrise or wandering the bustling, multicultural streets of Alexandria, the attention to detail was staggering. I found myself stopping every few miles, drawn by the way the light settled across the Nile and the quiet rhythm of life unfolding in Egyptian marketplaces. The gameplay successfully pivots the series toward a deliberate action RPG style. The overhauled combat is tactical and weighty, demanding a level of strategy that makes every victory feel earned. The skill tree is more than a menu; it becomes a roadmap of growth, allowing Bayek to evolve from a vengeful guardian into a legendary master of the shadows. Bayek's story is emotionally grounded and unfolds with restraint. His journey of revenge and justice is deeply personal, yet it never overshadows the world around him. Many side quests stand out for their intimacy, offering glimpses into the lives of farmers, priests, merchants, and families shaped by political turmoil and ancient traditions. Together, they give Egypt the feeling of a place that exists beyond the player's journey. And that's exactly why Ancient Egypt feels so extraordinary. It doesn't wait for the player. The Nile keeps flowing, the markets keep bustling, and the desert wind quietly reshapes the dunes. Life continues with or without you. All I could do was slow down, look a little closer, and be grateful that, for a brief moment, I was allowed to walk this ancient land. P.S. A Note for the Truly Observant: Not all of Egypt's secrets are buried in tombs. If you find yourself wandering the residential quarters of Herakleion at night, pay close attention to the open windows and quiet rooms. I stumbled upon a surprising moment that reminded me just how "alive" this world really is.
