14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

5/10
deep complex underrated strategy game. Hits different spot than main stream francises.
The 2.0 update has helped the game a lot, improving many aspects that most people have had with the game. Lots of balance changes have helped the game feel better. There are still things to fix here and there, but overall the automated systems and AI improvements have helped a lot. It is still held back by the same issue that holds back every game of this genre - it's difficulty settings. However, the new AI catchup system was introduced to help with this problem, and though it's not perfect without the starting difficulty being matched to it, at least it's a step in the right direction. Normally, nobody finishes a run in this genre for good reason. Humankind and Civ have the same problem too. Civ tried to resolve it with win conditions - it doesn't really work. Humankind tried to resolve it with its Star system. It doesn't really work. Here, they tried to make the AI catch up better to humans, and I have to test it further to really make a judgment on how well it works, but even having it is already worthy of commendation, because most games do not do it. They just shovel the garbage under the rug thinking that is enough to make the room look better, but it will never be good enough until you actually take the garbage out instead. Scaling difficulty should be the industry standard for this genre, Stellaris did it ages ago, and it works for them marvelously, Ara did a similar system but slightly different and I don't think it is anywhere near as good as the one Stellaris has, but at least it is something and I can now recommend the game with hope that further improvements will be made to the AI so that it can keep up with players, but also, so that the hardest difficulty starts with fewer cheats, to make it a more balanced and fair experience while maintaining the same degree of difficulty through the entire game, not just the start.
