Reviews

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is the GREATEST PIECE OF ♥♥♥♥ I'VE EVER PLAYED, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T BUY IT.
Good game
Very well made story
good, didn't grip me at first but after the first hour or two I was hooked. less scary than the bunker, more scary, to me, than soma.
Amnesia: The Bunker is a tense and terrifying survival horror experience developed by Frictional Games. Unlike previous entries in the *Amnesia* series, this game shifts toward a more open-ended and player-driven style, making every playthrough feel unpredictable. Set in a World War I bunker, the game puts you in the role of a trapped soldier trying to survive while something hunts you in the dark. The setting itself is one of the game’s strongest elements—claustrophobic, immersive, and constantly filled with dread. The bunker feels alive, with creaking metal, distant noises, and limited light sources that keep you on edge at all times. What really makes *The Bunker* stand out is its gameplay freedom. There are multiple ways to approach objectives—whether it’s sneaking, distracting the creature, or managing scarce resources like fuel and ammo. The game doesn’t hold your hand, which makes every decision feel meaningful. The central mechanic of keeping the generator running adds constant pressure, since darkness makes you far more vulnerable. The AI of the creature is another highlight. It reacts to sound and your actions, making it feel unpredictable and genuinely threatening. This creates intense moments where even small mistakes can lead to panic. However, the game may not appeal to everyone. It can be quite difficult and unforgiving, especially for players who prefer more guided experiences. The limited save system and resource scarcity can also feel frustrating at times. Overall, **Amnesia: The Bunker** is a refreshing take on survival horror. It rewards careful thinking, experimentation, and courage under pressure. Overall Rating: 9/10 A must-play for horror fans who enjoy tension, freedom, and smart gameplay design.
[Potential vague and/or veiled spoilers ahead] I can understand why this one was a bit controversial among longtime Frictional and Amnesia fans, but I for one, love the ambition and the surprising direction this took. Still gave us a good dose of the signature intensity and atmosphere of a Frictional game (during its most intense parts I actually think this exceeds anything before The Bunker in fear factor), with a much bigger focus on carefully crafted and dauntingly scaled world-building, and some Earth-shattering twists. Also, a lot of heart, and a huge gut punch worth of emotional impact, as well as quite a bit of horror in a less traditional sense, that of emotional and inter-personal horror, and the horror of the disturbing and tragic. That aside, Amnesia: Rebirth still includes a solid handful of particularly intimidating and stressful locations to explore, enemies to face, and games of deadly hide and seek and chases to enjoy. I also really liked the Match system, thought it was a cool expansion on the Tinderbox dynamic from the OG Amnesia. There is more I could say, and more detail I could add, but this would end up being quite a long review, and I want to keep spoilers to a minimum. So to sum things up, there are some minor issues I have with it, certain elements of the plot and certain settings, I wish more was done with, but for the most part, I see a survival horror masterpiece with strong characters that hooked me emotionally (As with previous Frictional titles), and a haunting yet fulfilling bitter-sweet story. Hey, I was invested enough to play through all three endings, instead of just watching two. I think that says something. Amnesia: Rebirth is not what I expected, but ultimately, I've come to embrace what it is, and it is definitely going to stick with me, for sure. 8.5-9/10. If it fleshed things out a bit more and extended some sequences, including the endings, could've potentially been rated even higher.
Definitely the weakest game in the Amnesia series. But it's far from being terrible. Just not as amazing as the other games.
