Aliens: Dark Descent is by far the best Alien game I’ve played as a fan of the franchise. The biggest thing it gets right is the atmosphere. It absolutely nails the tension, dread, sound design, and constant feeling that something is about to go horribly wrong. It feels like the developers truly understood what makes Aliens great, not just visually, but in the way every mission slowly wears you down. The gameplay loop is also excellent. Managing your squad, deciding when to push forward, when to extract, and how much risk to take kept me hooked for a long time. It has that “just one more objective” feeling, even when everything is falling apart and your marines are barely holding it together. That said, I do have a few gripes. The game is hard. Maybe too hard. I know some people probably loved that, but I wish it had been tuned just a little more forgivingly. It took me about 20 hours longer than the average player to beat it, and there were definitely moments where the difficulty felt more exhausting than fun. I also ran into a few bugs, though thankfully nothing game-breaking. And while I loved most of the experience, I do think the game was a bit too long. By the end, it started to drag and I was ready for it to wrap up. Even with those issues, I thought Aliens: Dark Descent was awesome. For fans of Aliens, it’s easily one of the best games in the franchise, and probably the closest a game has come to capturing the feeling of trying to survive inside that universe.
Amazingly well made RTS especially for anyone who has never played one.
plutôt médiocre. Entre le prologue interminable, et inintéressant, où votre liberté est inexistante, et les errements dans la gestion des ordres (clic droit? clic gauche ? ça n'a aucune sens...). Pas du tout envie de poursuivre... c'est tellement laborieux...rien n'est satisfaisant, alors que le concept me parle. Choix de design inintéressants. intérêt de fouiller un corps vide ? trop de choses médiocres alors que l'idée de base est intéressante.

Really solid game, has some minor buggs here and there but overall great game with great gameplay and cinematics that kinda make you feel like watching an alien movie.
