I thoroughly enjoyed **Aliens: Dark Descent** from beginning to end. The developers did an excellent job capturing the tension and atmosphere of the *Aliens* universe while creating a tactical game that constantly kept me engaged. I played on **Medium difficulty**, and it felt perfectly balanced. It was challenging enough that I had to replay several sections and rethink my strategy, but I never felt like the game was being unfair. Every successful mission felt earned, and preserving my squad became just as important as completing the objectives. By the end of the campaign, I had only lost two marines, which made those veterans feel like characters I genuinely cared about. The real-time tactical gameplay, squad management, and constant sense of tension made every deployment exciting. Deciding whether to push deeper into a mission or extract before things spiraled out of control was one of the game's greatest strengths. My only criticism is the injury recovery system. Marines often remained unavailable for **7–9 days** after missions, which sometimes forced me to skip deployments simply because my core squad was recovering. A slightly faster recovery time for moderate injuries would have kept the campaign moving at a better pace without reducing the challenge. Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable tactical strategy games I've played in years. It stays true to the *Aliens* franchise while introducing mechanics that make every decision matter. If you're a fan of tactical games or the *Aliens* universe, I highly recommend it.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Story was and gameplay was the game is good. Hard, but good. HOWEVER: Game crash very often, strangely every time when you pull a successful ambush on a queen by waking it up with a snipe shot or trash her life bar... ( often crash when using the command skill in those case). As if the game didn't accepted you being smart...-_- ( but guess it's just crappy coding than anything else but still.). PC spec are good (not the best, but for a game that old it is enough), and those crash happen even at minimal game settings. plenty of bug like egg you roasted that spawn back out of nowhere ( and they claim each map is *persistent*), body you searched that are still marked as "new", and you can still search them... Or even bugg in the tutorial, with the lab. The dev didn't take in account the player being SMART, and search the first map and finding the tech crate in your first run. ( the game doesn't told you but you're not supposed to make the first map in a single run) So basically, when you go to your second try, that's WHEN you unlock the lab and the ability to loot the alien's corpse. and upon having looted these...the tutorial ask you to unlock a grenade upgrade for 3 ressources...HOWEVER...the dev were so clever that you're forced to select the FIRST UPGRADE ON THE LIST, with no chance to change it. And the FIRST Upgrade in the list...IS NOT the grenade upgrade when you found the special crate already -_- so you're forced to spend TEN of your ressources instead of 3. For a thing you may not want to acquire first. Just so because the team devs think YOU'll play AS THEY WISH YOU TO PLAY, IN A STRATEGY GAME. ( and also thinking your dumb or blind...-_-). So again, another game where game company don't care to make a proper game without bug that are either major, or impact your team directly ( going to an already cleaned egg room in the same run and seeing the egg back might make them injured or killed due to surprise after all...) or your limited ressources. And that think you're either stupid, or follow like an obedient puppy THEIR way of thinking...-_-
棒棒
Good game, kinda hardish before you learn how to cheese it, once you know how to cheese its ungratefully easy. Crashed twice. No manual save kinda annoying because of 3 alien ambush just kill guy.
Aliens + RTS + Stress levels Good game 8/10
Uma mistura de Xcom, com RTS e com Darkest Dungeon no universo Alien. Isso realmente me surpreendeu.
If you like xcom style games and the aliens universe you will like this game. Very well put together, story is so-so, gameplay and tense situations made this game a great experience - kudos to devs Ran well on an rtx 3070, and ryzen 7 5800x
