'83 is a 40v40 squad based, objective focused online tactical first person shooter set in a Cold-War-Gone-Hot scenario. It's designed with 'accessible realism' for the most enjoyable, but still hardcore experience that gets you to the action fast, without losing the lethality of war.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Need to know more? Let's go! 👇
When we say that '83 is a spiritual successor to the Rising Storm series, it's not only the accessible realism approach that makes '83 worth that title. Members of our team have worked on all previous Rising Storm titles, and also on the Red Orchestra franchise. Some of us have been in the biz of developing accessible realism games for the past 15 years.
It's just what we do best.
Games in the tactical/mil-sim shooter genre are usually a huge time sink. Everybody loves Tarkov and Arma but... not everyone can game 100 hours a week, or afford to prep for a match for XYZ minutes - only to die instantly!
'83 is mindful of your time. It skips the dull parts commonly present in realistic games, takes you to action fast, but does not neglect the lethality of war.
You can absolutely still die fast, but should that happen, you're back in business within a minute or two. You might want to avoid the dying though, your squad needs you and every death matters, as the matches are only 30-40 minutes long!
The tactical aspect of '83 lies in the objective focused flow of every match that simply requires teamwork to win. Clutch situations when capturing key objectives on the map can be solved with smart flanks, diversions, or well-timed fire missions, all coordinated across multiple squads within a team.
As with any tactical shooter, the selection of gear matters and can make a difference in '83. However, the point is not to experience gear fear. You can customize your loadout, but there are predefined classes (including a team commander!) that set some boundaries in order to strike a balance across factions.
There is a large selection of weapons and other gadgets, each meticulously designed and animated according to their real life counterpart. Also, the weapons behave in a realistic way: the barrels and suppressors overheat when rapid firing, machineguns are better deployed on a stable surface, and bullets don't magically teleport in between magazines when you reload a half-empty one.
Sounds like a game you want to play? Great!
Please add '83 to your Steam wishlist, and let's stay in touch!

0 players, even with a massive discount. I bought out of mercy for the developpers, but TBH it doesn't look very good compared to insurgency sandstorm.
I recommend this game as Early Access, purely because I think it can do well with continual additions. It has the core mechanics down, and decent maps/weapons, etc. If people were a little more understanding with their demands of a game, especially for a game like this, I think they could look past some of the shortcomings. I don't want this game to fail....I have been a die-hard RO/RS fan for over a decade. This game in its current state feels like Diet Red Orchestra, or maybe Rising Storm Zero. There's a lot of potential, and it is really easy to pick up. But the timeline and disruptions for this game, plus demanding gaming communities pretty much made this dead on arrival. A couple weeks ago there were quite a few full servers, now it is dead. I have checked at different times of day, and many times I am the only one there. How sad. I will continue checking until the bitter end. Thanks to the devs who tried their hardest for this game, regardless of whether it fails or not. Take my $30 and maybe it will ensure the next game you guys work on can do as well as it deserves. If you didn't know the crazy story of this game, you should look it up. IIRC, The original devs, Tripwire, got shutdown a little bit after announcing '83, then there was legal trouble over '83 (and the steam page for this game sat dormant for years), then somehow the madlads at Blue Dot brought it back...hopefully the community can appreciate the work that Blue Dot has done to get this title to us.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Among the many milsim (military simulation) games I’ve tested, here is finally a game featuring a lean mechanic that lets you rack up over 15 kills and top the PvP Team Deathmatch leaderboards—just like in the old days—provided you have the experience and time to master flanking tactics and game mechanics. Plus, there don't seem to be too many cheaters, and you can still hold your own against them thanks to features like good cover, fast respawns, one-shot kills, and player-placed spawn points. I’m certain that future updates—likely including improved weapon customization via earned skill points—will make it even more enjoyable, and perhaps we’ll even see a campaign or a modern-day mode. With a solid marketing campaign, I’m sure "83" will climb to the top of the Steam charts; other developers should really take a page out of their book. For now, it's a bit of a shame that you can usually only find one server that's nearly full—mostly early in the evening, leaving just enough time for a few hours of gameplay—since the game isn't very well-known yet.
However cool the game could be, you probably won't get to experience it as it's meant to be. Double digit player counts prevent you from even filling a single server. What you do have, somehow pales in comparison to it's predecessors. Until the player count gets higher than the name, I don't see it going anywhere.
Very good - got it on 50% sale. The game is early access so I find it really annoying to see people rating this game as if it is some 5 star microsoft multi million investment. The devs are really good at responding to bugs and always take suggestions into consideration. Please remember this game is in an early access stage! Thanks. It is really fun though.
There were literally ZERO, I mean ZERO active players in the server browser. Cannot recommend this game given the lack of players.
Unplayable. Truly. This game is a joke. There is literally no one. Literally... Not a single person playing it. The current online players is 0 and fluctuates to 2. You cant even get into a multiplayer match to tell if the game is good or not. This is absolutely insane. They should've waited for a full release and then possibly it would've meant something. Instead we get a cashgrab; "Give me money to beta test". It hasn't worked. There are no servers. It has a 24 hour peak of 35 players, this is less than half a server. I'll leave this review up for a while and then I'm going to refund it. What a complete waste of 6 years of hype and excitement; A tragedy.
0 PLAERS ONLINE. MULTIPLAYER ONLY. WOULD NOT LAUNCH WITHOUT BIOS UPDATE AND TWEEKING OUTPUT OF CPU.
