Really interesting story, second game is too long tho but otherwise good

Both games fully playable on Steam Deck. I used the most recent ProtonGE as of writing this. 999 works pretty much out of the box after switching to GE, but VLR crashes unless you switch to OpenGL in the launcher, which can only be done in desktop mode. Good escape room/puzzle mystery visual novels. Puzzles in 999 are pretty simple but there's a good increase in quality for VLR. The story itself is good across both games, but I'd recommend using an ending guide for 999 since you can spoil some of the reveals depending on which endings you get. VLR expands on 999 a lot and has a longer story but with more padding and parts that drag. For 999 I recommend playing in NVL mode to not miss out on narration, but it comes down to preference. Flowcharts are present in both games, as well as voice acting. If you like these games the final game in the trilogy, Zero Time Dilemma, is also on Steam.

Esse é o jogo que """inspirou""" YOUR TURN TO DIE mas, spoiler, é muito melhor. Claro, estou falando do que eu joguei, o 999. Ele sabe balancear puzzle+visual novel como ninguém. Só joguem e tirem suas conclusões. Infelizmente não tem para português, mas tem dublagem e legenda em inglês. Sou péssima em quebra cabeça, mas ao contrario de outros jogos você não precisa de nada além dele para resolver eles. O jogo até te da uma CALCULADORA, vê? Recomendo MUUUUUITO, to quase zerando e comecei a jogar há 4 dias.

An amazing game. I was playing the 999 on DS and Virtue Last Reward when i was kid. The story is incredible, the characters are endearing, and the puzzles are cool. It's definitely one of the best series of its kind.
