Tldr; this game is pure fun
very nice
This is such a great romp. If you have any nostalgia for old collectathons from the 64-bit era, than do yourself a favor and pick this up. It is challenging, but not crazy difficult. Maybe 100% is insane, but I didn't accomplish that -- I have completed the main game. It has some humorous dialogue, and goofy characters who may or may not resemble some well known figures. Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom isn't a perfect game, but what game is. Its controls alone might put some people off, but I encourage you to put a little time in experimenting with it to get the feel for things. It knows exactly what kind of game it is, and wears it heart on its sleeve. You can feel the love that went into it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is awesome. Things keep happening and it keeps being fun.
This is a fun indie platformer in the style of classic N64 games. The game has a lot of charm and I really enjoyed the humour. The only thing I didn't like was the massive difficulty spike near the end. You're required to perform some advanced movements that are pretty difficult to execute, and it often feels like you're fighting the controller. It turned what was otherwise a fun and relaxing experience, where I enjoyed exploring and collecting green gears, into something frustrating.
Buen juego, si te gustan los plataformeros que requieren algo de habilidad por encima de lo normal (al menos para conseguir todos los opcionales), este juego es para ti.
This yellow taxi indeed goes vroom. Fun platformer where you play as a taxi the whole game. Recommended if you like platformers and collectathons. Ton of value here for the price. After beating the game I only collected half of the collectibles. There are a ton to find and little secrets in the game with nods to pop culture references. Great game.
Combining precision, collectathon platforming with the frantic pace (and occasional passenger ferrying) of Crazy Taxi, Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom is a unique masterclass in platforming action. You play as a wind-up taxi cab, the only vehicle immune to a toxic green oil that corrupted all other vehicles, and left people stuck without a mode of transport. The narrative is light and unserious, with plenty of crude, over the top humour to keep you occupied. Given that you are a car, you are unable to jump in the traditional sense. Instead, you need to make use of dashing off ramps, tight breaking, and midair stalling to achieve what would normally be a simple button press. This has a tremendous effect on the level design of this game, creating unique scenario’s that you won’t find in a typical platformer. Also, as a car, your movement is not as free-form as you’d normally have in a platformer, needing you turn your car around with ‘tank controls’, but the taxi movies so quickly and smoothly that it never became an issue, instead another unique facet of this games' movement system. It also has an interesting, knowledge based progression system. You never unlock any new moves in the game, instead you are told that you could have done a technique this whole time. So if you are experimental, you can discover incredibly helpful moves hours before any NPC tells you about it (for me, it was the backflip). And Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom is not afraid to put you to the test, with some (thankfully optional) challenges being downright devious, and requiring you to use your move set to the fullest in order to conquer. You will use this unique movement system to explore a variety of levels and hub worlds, each with their own distinct, colourful theme, and collect various doodads and combing for secrets. The game also varies up some levels with a time limit that can be extended by picking up and delivering passengers, very reminiscent of Crazy Taxi, or with top-down isometric sections where you can more precisely avoid obstacles or navigate mazes. This gives Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom the gameplay variety it needed to prevent its core theme from becoming stale, ensuring it remained both enjoyable and satisfying throughout its run time. Visually, I love how absurdly colourful this game is. No section looks dull, and even the more grey levels have accents of green or orange to keep things interesting. Even more impressively, the deliberate art direction ensures that you do not get lost in the colour either. It is always clear where you are and where you are heading. The soundtrack is also incredibly fun to listen to, with it often matching the high octane tempo of the game as you race across the map, while having a few slower, more ominous tracks for whenever it's appropriate. Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom is incredibly fun to play, unique in many ways, and has an incredible visual and audio style that is all its own. If you enjoy collectathons, tight and challenging platforming, or driving fast and not being too bothered with who you run over to get where you need to go, all while bobbing your head to the accompanying music, you’ll be delighted with this game.
