Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
They keep simplifying the X-Com play style and I feel with Chimera Squad they ventured from the perfect blend of intense and approachable to the watered-down memory of a classic territory. The characters are forgettable and I couldn't tell you the story. The levels are smaller and there's some cool tactical elements but the world hub is gone and it just doesn't strike that wonderful balance as some of the other X-Com games. I think Firaxis is trying new things because X-Com 2 was SO good, they are trying to grab that lightning and shove it in the bottle again. I applaud their effort but hopefully they learn from this and keep trying. Less is not always more and I hope they don't keep dumbing down the gameplay just for the sake of streamline. This is totally worth the price of admission, if that price is for sale, but don't expect another X-Com with this one.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

If you are playing this cause you like XCom, then try to enjoy. If you're buying this as your first XCom experience, then go to XCom Enemy Unknown/Withing and XCom 2 instead. The reasons as why I don't recommend the game are below: - Characters lack salt; - Major bugs that Firaxis didn't want to patch and never will like VIPs being stunned forever and characters aiming to one direction and shooting to other (XCom 2 has that very same bug, how can you not solve it?), not to mention the grenades/AoE abilities not doing anything to enemies when it should; - Most of the assets and animations are reused from XCom 2, with only a few things being new; - Boring storyline; - Unbalanced difficulty (diff spikes out of sudden, not to mention all the SHOTGUN guys shooting and criting from more than 10 TILES AWAY against HIGH GROUND targets). But hey, at least they gave the hot snake girl a sexy voice. You know what I mean, but in case if you don't, "It stings".
Cade o XCOM 3 caraio?
Very generic compared to previous games. I would skip this one. Looked cool but wasn't...
XCOM is all about creating and customizing your guys. Predetermined characters I have no interest in ruined it for me.
Battles are too short and in very small areas, which makes them uninteresting.

Leaving this negative review in the hopes that Firaxis one day learns. Stop trying to write characters. Your dialogue is testicular cancer inducing. Please fire the person that is giving my balls cancer. Gameplay is good tho
This is not a game worthy of the XCOM title. At best, it's a half-finished piece of ♥♥♥♥. The new combat is the only thing that was made well, because other than that, the whole game is a downgrade. First, instead of expendable soldiers, you have agents that cannot die, completely removing the fear of loss and difficulty. Second, consistency failure—why doesn't Chimera have plasma or lasers? Because the devs had to make this game interesting somehow (and still failed). Third, the game turned into a sitcom with aliens. Saying that the dialogue is bad and uninspired is an understatement. And best of all, the new logo with the "Diversis Viribus" is definitely NOT propaganda about something with "diversity" and "strength." If you are planning on buying the XCOM Ultimate Bundle, don't bother playing this.
