Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 31 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Recommended if you catch it on sale. It's cute and enjoyable, but it's very short. It also feels really incomplete. There are often points where there is no direction at all in how to advance until you randomly speak to one of the other characters and find out you've had three quests waiting all along. It's not labeled as early access, and as a complete game that may or may not continue to improve, this isn't worth $20.
A very sweet combination of The Long Dark and Don't Starve games :)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3798997307

Cute concept, not enough substance. I liked the art style, and there were a few heartfelt story beats. But after the first few hours, most of my game time was spent aimlessly wandering and gathering to kill time waiting for items I needed to progress to respawn. There just weren’t enough character interactions or story to make it feel worth it.
"Winter Burrow is a game of two halves: a beautifully melancholic storybook and a frustratingly hollow survival loop." The hand-drawn art is undeniably charming, and the opening narrative beats—returning to your ruined childhood home to find your missing Aunt—hit all the right heartfelt notes. I also genuinely love the game’s subtle environmental philosophy. Instead of clear-cutting forests, you survive by scavenging fallen twigs and dead flora. It’s a peaceful, non-destructive approach to gathering that perfectly matches the cozy vibe. Unfortunately, the moment-to-moment gameplay quickly falls apart. Because the survival mechanics lack real tension, you aren't fighting to survive; you're just killing time. Most of my playtime was spent aimlessly wandering, waiting for the daily timer to respawn the exact resources I needed to progress. While restoring your burrow is central to the game, and crafting furniture does provide tangible buffs—like cozy decor improving your recovery or a repaired stove unlocking essential warming meals—the core loop still feels padded. You spend hours grinding for these upgrades, but without real danger, they feel less like hard-earned survival triumphs and more like artificial roadblocks stretching out a very short story. Cozy games usually mask their daily grind with deep, evolving NPC relationships. Here, character interactions are sparse and heavily tied to linear fetch quests, leaving you isolated with a repetitive loop rather than building a community. If you want a gorgeous, eco-friendly aesthetic and don't mind a passive, grind-heavy experience, there is, but very little warmth to be found here. For me, there simply wasn’t enough substance, story, or mechanical reward to justify the aimless wandering. It’s a cute concept, but it desperately needs more depth (Review after game <story> completion + 100% steam achievements <1 lazy-boredom stricken playthrough>).
My opinion after finishing the game I just finished Winter Burrow, so here’s my honest opinion about the game in its current state. The Pros: The character designs are really nice. Gameplay and controls are simple and easy to get used to. The world looks beautiful, and I really like the idea of unlocking new areas as you progress. The story is decent. Nothing amazing, but it does the job. The Cons: The inventory is REALLY bad, especially at the beginning. The chests/storage system is also awful early on. Honestly, this is probably one of the things that will frustrate players the most. The crafting system starts off pretty fun. Upgrading your tools, backpack, etc. feels good at first. But after playing for a while, I realized that most of crafting is furniture which is basically just a waste of time. The whole system where you have to craft furniture, place it in your house, and do all of that just to get more "Hunger , Health Stats" feels unnecessary. And placing furniture/chests in the house is another problem. For example, I wanted to place a chest at the bottom of my house, but half of the chest would disappear behind the house frame. So you basically have to place everything toward the top of the house just so you can actually see it properly and make your house look decent. And if you're an achievement hunter... good luck. 😂 Getting 100% achievements is currently a 50/50. You might get them all, or you might not because of bugs. Some achievements simply don't unlock properly. Another thing that really annoyed me was resource gathering. For example, let's say you need silk. There are only around 3 spiders in the entire world, but you might need 10 silk for one item. So what do you do? Kill the spiders → sleep for two days → come back → kill them again → repeat... And after all that grinding, the item you're crafting gives you something like +5% warmth. 💀 At that point, I'm just asking myself: Was this really worth it? Overall: I had fun with the game for the first few hours. The world is cute, the art style is great, and the basic gameplay is enjoyable. But after a while, it starts getting repetitive and unnecessarily grindy. If you're interested in the game, I would recommend buying it on sale. At full price, I honestly don't think it's worth it in its current state. I'd rather wait for some updates and fixes first. And honestly, I really hope the developers focus on fixing the current game instead of releasing a mobile version. The game has a good foundation and could be really good with some polishing, but right now it still needs a lot of fixes and quality-of-life improvements. For me: Buy on sale. Don't pay full price.
I really enjoyed this game! I got it because The Long Dark (a winter survival game) is one of my favorites, and I thought this looked like a cuter, cozier version - I wasn't disappointed! It's got a cute/silly cast of characters, good survival mechanics, and really fun home customization options. I happened to be going through my first playthrough during the Tidy Up update, and it was a definite improvement to several of the features. My only negative might be the somewhat confusing nature of the map - I really wish there were a slightly more detailed in game map, or perhaps a live character marker to help with navigation. But its a small complaint, as you can learn the map with enough trial and error (and possibly a better sense of direction than I have). Overall, its a great cozy survival-lite game!
