Unlike the previous WTTG, this one seems a little too buggy and counterintuitive to be beatable. Even after downloading the PDF for information on the threats there's no clear indicators on how to prevent the instakills. Tanner seems to have no grace-period early game which makes things incredible inconvenient to play. I haven't found any sound-cues or seen him ahead of his instakill animations. Even looking through the curtains of the motel windows he doesn't appear before his instakills. The game also needs to tweak the sound variations a bit, hack sound cues are BLARINGLY loud to the point where it's far too uncomfortable to play with sound anywhere above 30%. This makes footsteps and such impossible to hear. Sometimes the panic button on the front desk doesn't work, and the computer hacks seem to have no consistency with difficulty- sometimes they randomly become insanely difficult and force you to have a SLED on you at all times. Conclusion (Mostly my opinion): Game needs some serious rebalancing, especially for a "normal" mode. Add sound sliders, especially for the hack sound. Give a little more insight on the 'threats pdf', I shouldn't need to wait a couple weeks for a wiki on this game to understand how to thoroughly prevent Tanner early in a run.

Her açık lamba, sizi arama seviyesini artırıyor. The Breather: Siparişler köprünün altına geliyor. Bonus: The Bombmaker sitesine girmeyin.
The most unfinished release in the series so far. This should've been marked as early access through Steam. - The audio is not great. The mix makes some sequences not fair / fun to play a lot of the time. - Some sequences of enemies & hacks are not fair / fun once in a while. - And there are bugs which could have been caught in an early access phase. My monitor can just become black and completely stop functioning. I've seen quite a few crashes for other people but I haven't experienced them myself. And I saw something related to browsing being tied to framerate. I'm unsure if v-sync actually does something for me because I'm on a 480hz monitor and that might still be too high? Hell if I know. I think a direct feedback / bug report feature would be quite useful. I might change my review once this game starts valuing my time a bit more. This game has a lot of potential.
A lot of fun... BUT.,.... The next step for this franchise now is obviously a free for all competition where players can pvp. Every player gets the same seed, totally identical spawns, identical wiki, identical key locations and so on.
I haven't finished it yet, but so far the game looks good and runs well. Challenging and enough of a step forward to justify the purchase of the third edition. Classic welcome to the game experience, immersive and scary. Very cool, currently a few bugs but dev addressed a day1 patch so we'll see -x
Edit: The button issue has been nerfed, which is great. The dev is working hard on getting patches out quickly, which is also great. This game has a great chance to rival WTTG 2. However, it should not have launched in this state. I know over time things will get smoothed over, (cherry picking an example here) but even with the latest hotfix, there's now a new "feature" where you get punished just for checking for a threat. I understand it's to prevent just spamming the button, but checking for Tanner once every 10 in game minutes is not in my eyes "spamming" the button yet I had to go fix the internet very quickly after checking a few times. Regardless, using the button repeatedly to check for Tanner in my opinion adds to the flow state these kind of games love to put you in and needs to be reverted, or how using the button degrades your internet needs to be seriously nerfed. Thumbs up just because I know what this game will become as it gets fixed over time but it's a little too brutal in a bad way in this state.
Do I like the game? Yes... But there are some huge glaring issues that make me almost want to leave a negative review. SOUND CUES in this game ARE absolutely HORRENDOUS, as the game is already really quiet to begin with. I have to crank my headphones to max volume to hear the assassin, tanner, and tucker. Only to get ear blasted because of the hacking sound which is still extremely loud. Audio just needs a whole rebalance in this game especially since the gameplay revolves around it. A player shouldn't be second guessing themselves on ambient noises to know if it's the killer coming, it should be clear and decisive if you're paying attention to them. This alone makes me want to say not to buy it until it gets fixed or reworked, but the web browsing and computer stuff is fun so I'll deal with it.
After I've beaten Normal mode and realy enjoyed the game I sadly can't recommend it in its current state because it has too many bugs. I like the high difficulty and the amount of things you need to figure out by yourself, finding a good strategy, even if it includes a lot of trial and error. But like I said, there are currently way too many bugs like: - Multiple interfaces override a Hack so you can't block it unless you have a Nopsled - One time my package from a dealer didn't arrive - Sometimes you can't copy/paste anymore - Sometimes you can't interact with the monitor or doors and I had to stand up from the chair or look away so they work again - Doors can push you into walls - Scenarios where multiple threats spawn in a row, like 3 or more (could be by design idk) - I had a bug where no threats or hacks spawned at all Definitely will change the review to positive once a lot of bugs have been fixed because I still really enjoyed the gameplay and the difficulty.
This is a very strong contender for the best in the series.
The music is nice. The location, the motel is a really cool environment to occupy during a run. There's extremely fun interplay with all the mechanics. The new systems for making money are engaging and fun. The rep system, though a bit restrictive early in a run, does give the game an interesting sense of progression. And the number of killers makes run variety a guarantee, ensuring something interesting is almost always happening. What's more important than praise right now is criticism, as the game is still being updated, with more content planned for the future and I hope it gets even better, so here are some of my thoughts: On the point of the killers, I will say some of them disappointed me slightly in their use. The game is already tough as nails so to ask more is greedy, but seeing a killer like The Breather who was an insanely tough threat in all previous games be reduced to a sprint check is a little disappointing. He went from being the character I feared the most in WTTG2 and Dead Signal to someone who doesn't pose much of a threat. I feel kind of bad for him. Killers like the Noir have gone from simple to incredibly interesting with all the different ways they can spawn and how you need to react to their presence. Having killers be one-note like The Breather makes them feel less like killers out to get you and more like a videogame trigger you half pay attention to. One small thing I wish I knew in my first full run-through was when the cut-off time was. I had no idea the game time limit was 4AM because as far as I know (I swear I looked) it isn't stated anywhere. When it would be a very simple thing to have Ronald simply tell you: "If you don't send me the code by 4AM tonight, or if another player completes the puzzle first, you lose." Simple :) It would also be cool to be able to remove pinged users from your CryptChat, or move them to a separate "read" section of the program. You spend a lot of time interacting with a whole host of other people on the dark web to make money and buy services, but eventually you don't need some of these people anymore, or they don't need you. To be able to get rid of those useless chats so the side-bar is more neat would allow players to more efficiently manage their contacts in the middle of a run where efficiency can mean the difference between winning and losing. Also one small thing. I don't have the game code to check for certainty but I couldn't really tell if hacking another player of the game slowed their progress towards keys. I had a really tight 3AM - 4AM that I had to retry a bunch because of money troubles and I thought about the idea of spamming the leading player with petty hacks to slow them down until I had enough money to put a hit on them. I don't know if this worked but I certainly would expect that it should in a game like this. If that isn't currently a consideration implimented within the game, maybe it should be? I had a lot issues with the hacking minigames unfrotunately. Firstly, because killers can arive while a hack is happening, (something I like btw), this means you can be faced with downright impossible situations. For example, one time I was grabbed by Cletus after a hack had just began and the long animation of him searching me for the drugs caused me to lose a high level memDefragger hack with absolutely nothing I could do about it. No chance to attempt the hack or use a NOPSled like I would if Lucas had arived at that point instead. I lost all my money and decided to just restart from my checkpoint. I also had an instance where the internet being cut off during a hack caused the hack to disappear and boot me to the desktop. But despite that, the hack was still running, it was just impossible to interact with, so I lost all my money there too. The balancing on some of the hacks is also absurd. The same high difficulty hack of one type may take you a few seconds to a minute and be reasonably doable, although still tough, like StackPusher and ShiftSEQ (ShiftSEQ is very easy though). But then you have K3RN3LC0MP1L3R and TOKENINE which go WAY overboard on expectations to the point of either being nigh impossible. In the case of K3RN3LC0MP1L3R, the speed at which you need to read and then type each line is completely unrealistic, you are not given nearly enough time to get it done. And if you were given enough time the max level hack would take you minutes to finish which is time you simply do not have to spare in many tight normal runs, let alone a 1337 mode run. TOKENINE is a bit more doable but the patterns with the right angles and dots don't have enough unique parts to them to correctly identify the 5 parts of the whole. And again, you aren't given nearly enough time to work it out. Maybe it's a skill issue, I always have to ask myself that with an Adam game, but the disparity in difficulty is laughable when compared to StackPusher and especially ShiftSEQ. Overall, the game is incredibly fun and the way it expects more from you than most games do is something I REALLY appreciate. I got done with a normal mode run on the day I'm writing this and am excited to try a Normal+ run. (Normal deathless) and hopefully eventually feel confident enough to try 1337 mode.
