About
Welcome to Elderfield is a cozy horror RPG where the abnormal is normal, the townsfolk are odd, the eldritch beings watch over you and the local news reports seem stranger by the day.

Everything in Elderfield is unsettling, from the haunting, horror manga-inspired, hand-drawn visuals to the dark, lofi soundscapes composed by Dated. Despite the strange creatures lurking just outside your home, those who wander into Elderfield rarely find a reason… or option, to leave.

Customize your home and character, unravel daily mysteries, befriend the odd townsfolk (or even marry one!), go fishing, spend your afternoons mining and forage through the surrounding wilds… There's lots to do in Elderfield!

Cultivate your land, harvest your crops, and stop the growth of unruly tentacles. Manage a variety of strange, otherworldly livestock, grow useful crops like corn, pumpkins, teeth or eyeballs and hope that beings from the woods don’t wander onto your farm.

Choose your difficulty, how much suffering can you endure? For players seeking a peaceful life of harvest and discovery, cozy difficulty offers a more laid-back experience. For those who crave a challenge, the Old Gods are waiting.
Elderfield features a deep, turn-based combat system where you must utilize gathered resources, strategic buffs and diverse equipment to survive encounters with ancient, Lovecraftian horrors.
Die, learn, farm, and forage… Then die again.
Full RPG life sim with relationships, customization, fishing and more
Hand drawn horror manga inspired artwork
Dark lofi soundtrack by Dated
Build your farm, manage animals, mine and forage to build resources
Play on cozy mode or test your skills and resource building with in depth turn based combat

Look Outside with a side of Stardew. Love it, eldritch horror lovers will love it, die hard Stardew Valley farmers will not

the game is filled with so many random mysteries, enemy encounters, old gods, lovecraftian horror and also farming. the hand drawn art is a treat especially for fans of junji ito. recommend for players who love stardew valley, with a love for all things eerie
I don't review games often but this one deserves it from the atmosphere to the design to the music this cozy farm sim/RPG is fantastic especially if you are a fan of Stardew Valley and the Cthulhu mythos this is perfect for you
I've only played for a few hours so far, but I'm already obsessed!! The art is amazing and I love the sound design. Can't wait to keep playing
It is like a mix of Look Outside and Stardew Valley. Not really scary or anxiety-inducing for a game full of monsters. In fact, monsters look like an ordinary part of life here. There are mysteries, or side quests, you can work on at your own pace- and you really don't have to farm to get by if you want to get right on to exploration and combat.
Great progression system and vibes. Love all of the quality of life stuff too.
A review from a very gay person who loves horror games. -Graphics, Beautiful. The game really captures the atmosphere its want to bring, the game has such a cosy yet off putting vibe that makes me want to explore every dark corner of Elderfield as every inch is beautiful and stylised really giving that cosy Stardew vibe while and I dare say improving upon it, I prefer Elderfields graphics in all honest as it much better fits my love for the autumnal aesthetic. -Artwork, Bloody immaculate. The artwork is incredibly beautiful and I love seeing all the unique designs for the eldritch abominations that lurk within Elderfield (especially since there is so many of them) you can really see the care that has been put into them. -Gameplay, slow to progress (this is a good thing) actually feels like there is a gradual progression of skill/level as you level up, gain more equipment and unlock more stuff which really makes it fell like the time you invest is being given its worth. -Relationships/Love interests, you cant date the tax man or farmer Hans 0/10. Jokes aside I do think the variety is quite good from from a skeleton to an sentient blob of slime (love you Blorph) and you can tell most have been well crafted with interesting and unique designs in all the female love interest which all do seem from what I've observed so far to have unique personalities (Sam and Ellie are my favs). But here is my first critique the male love interests feel very plain to me, maybe its due to my lack of play time and interaction with the characters that fuels this feeling but from all my interactions with the NPCs the ones I find the least interesting are the men. -Music, GODAMN PERFECT, I could gush over the music in this game for ages it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good, I adore it 10/10 that's all I got to say. -Combat, I think the combat/RPG aspects of this game are stellar, I have really enjoyed the fights and even when I have died repeatedly in the mall form a dumb choice or lack of awareness I have never gotten mad/annoyed as I new the mistakes made where my own, I've enjoying attempting to figure out the best way to combat each variant of enemy I've gone against (there is a large selection) especially when the enemies have various limbs to target, it is important to note that different areas will have enemies of different calibres so it is important to improve your gear and level up, but don't let that stop you from exploring, dying and learning from you mistakes is just as important as being cautious or prepared. -Farming/Mining, I actually managed to get myself killed by a piece of debris flying off a rock in the mines, I feel like a moron for that, I really enjoy how they have implemented such risk to mining especially the debuffs, the flying debris just annoys me but I will say I do think its a good mechanic and can be quite punishing if you don't know when to leave the mines/heal. I ADORE the gradual progression of the farm as you have to play the game to unlock more space for your crops which helps to slow the game down and give that gradual sense of progression/achievement, and the way in which you plant, hoe and water feels very smooth/convenient, you can really see the Stardew valley inspiration and how they tried to improve upon it, especially when you unlock the ranch feels very similar but that's not a bad thing I like it. I have obviously not played much of the game yet only 20 hours so my thoughts and feelings haven't fully settled but I can say I love this game, it. is. ADDICTIVE, I have been playing it none stop for the past two days. so I heavily recommend picking this game up it is incredibly fun, I love the daily news reports and the mysteries, I have so much more to discover in this game I have barely scratched the surface and I cant wait to play and learn more about the world of Welcome to elderfield. (Sorry if this review felt messy or lacking in knowledge I played the game for only two days I'm just expressing my current feelings to the game which may change as I learn more about the game).
