About
Welcome to Elderfield is a cozy horror RPG where the abnormal is normal, the townsfolk are odd, the eldritch beings watch over you and the local news reports seem stranger by the day.

Everything in Elderfield is unsettling, from the haunting, horror manga-inspired, hand-drawn visuals to the dark, lofi soundscapes composed by Dated. Despite the strange creatures lurking just outside your home, those who wander into Elderfield rarely find a reason… or option, to leave.

Customize your home and character, unravel daily mysteries, befriend the odd townsfolk (or even marry one!), go fishing, spend your afternoons mining and forage through the surrounding wilds… There's lots to do in Elderfield!

Cultivate your land, harvest your crops, and stop the growth of unruly tentacles. Manage a variety of strange, otherworldly livestock, grow useful crops like corn, pumpkins, teeth or eyeballs and hope that beings from the woods don’t wander onto your farm.

Choose your difficulty, how much suffering can you endure? For players seeking a peaceful life of harvest and discovery, cozy difficulty offers a more laid-back experience. For those who crave a challenge, the Old Gods are waiting.
Elderfield features a deep, turn-based combat system where you must utilize gathered resources, strategic buffs and diverse equipment to survive encounters with ancient, Lovecraftian horrors.
Die, learn, farm, and forage… Then die again.
Full RPG life sim with relationships, customization, fishing and more
Hand drawn horror manga inspired artwork
Dark lofi soundtrack by Dated
Build your farm, manage animals, mine and forage to build resources
Play on cozy mode or test your skills and resource building with in depth turn based combat

So happy to see this finally out! I've been playing all the demo updates and seeing it in it's final form is amazing! It's creepy, cute and overall super fun! I love the battle mechanic it adds something new to the genre besides everything else it does overall. It's a similar formula that we all know but with so many added quirks it makes it super refreshing to play! Pick up this game! You wont regret it :D
I truly love this game! It's everything I love about cozy games with a horror aspect. I was a bit wary of the turn based combat at first because it's not something I'm used to, but it's super easy to understand! Fishing isn't a chore but still a fun minigame, which is huge for me personally. The townies are interesting and I'm enjoying trying to figure them all out. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys farming sims + horror.

It's like living in a weird dream, never knowing what to expect next. Wake up one day and get stalked by a sign? Your crops running around the farm? Die in your sleep just because you happen to be unlucky? Yeah, I would love that. Not thrilling enough? Add RNG to the mix for extra fun. I actually like this system—it makes the unexpected even more unexpected. I'm all about the vibe, and this game nails it. My only complaint is that I wish we could toggle running without holding Shift all the time. Other than that, I hope the dev consider adding more content in the future. Definitely worth a try!
So far very fun and unique game, im very interested to see where the story goes
It's addictive but it can feel really spooky and harsh at times. My character literally died in their sleep on the 2nd day and when I reloaded to save scum it seems the rolls are set before as I got the exact same result. However dying didn't lose me anything except some gold. The game also really encourages you to use items, for example an easy shop to get dice rolls from is the sewer man and it really helps. The art and music are gorgeous and you get sucked into the Stardew Valley loop. I found it hard to increase the romanceable character's hearts as they kind of all live out of the way of the normal town for some reason. But thankfully later on there's a potion crafting area which lets you craft many things including stat increases and half-heart increase potions. So it seems to have a good balance of risk and rewards. There's also rings which give you immortality essentially letting you survive which is great since some mobs can hit really hard like for 50+ damage later on.
I feel like I'm living in a world the Addams Family would thrive in... AND I LOVE IT!
