About

Take back the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty foes in this intense and brutal action shooter. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the new co-op focused experience from the award-winning team behind the Vermintide series.
In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten to turn into an overwhelming tide of darkness. A mysterious and sinister new force is seeking to take control of the entire city. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.
As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.

Built on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s best-in-class melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide introduces intense WH40K gunplay to the mix. Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies. Feel the impact of each swipe, swing, and slice of a chainsword, or fry some flesh with a lasgun.

Darktide is a co-op game. Wandering too far, risks punishment by foes looking to immobilize or capture stray Rejects, such as the slavering Chaos Hound or the Moebian Trapper. Once you fall prey to such foes, only your teammates can save you! More than that, your innate toughness – your determination to press on through the pain – only recharges when you are in the proximity of your strike team.

Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial army, a snarky outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.

Step into the violent, dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.

Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.

I've had many issues with how fatshark handled vermintide and it made me not buy darktide for a while. I'm glad I waited because I really like the game in it's current state. The monetization is still weird but the progression is much better in this.

Latest in each market: best CA #72, worst BR #96 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

surprisingly good game.
Gameplay wise and world building are top tier, the story is more or less there within the setting, but otherwise its bread and butter is the hack and slash elements. On Auric difficulty with certain special conditions is pure chaos! I just wish Fatshark would get off the micro-transactions and allow ppl to grind for platinum for new cosmetics so the end game feels more worthwhile.
Wonderful game and even better with friends.
GAMEPLAY Very little about how the mechanics of this game work is explained well in game. The basic and advanced training modules give you very basics, but as you unlock weapons and abilities, they aren't adequately explained. Weapon purchasing and upgrading isn't explained well. A lot is left up to trial and error, having a knowledgeable friend explain things, or youtube videos (which are plentiful). All missions require matchmaking (aside from the prologue...if your class has a mission prologue - some just have a cinematic), and your experience playing will be based on the quality of your squad (not necessarily how good they are at the game, but more how well they play as a team). Having a self-made squad is preferable, especially when starting out. Once you figure out how the game works, it is a lot of fun. Friendly fire is off (so don't worry about hitting teammates), but teammates can set off environmental hazards that can damage you. The closer you are to your squad, the better your health will be (toughness regenerates based on squad cohesion). All classes are unique and offer valuable skills to the squad. If you have multiple characters, they share some currencies but do not share inventory. This is a bit annoying as you might get an awesome weapon for your Zealot while playing your Veteran. GRAPHICS and AUDIO The graphics are great for a game that is 4 years old and seem to scale based on your available hardware. Audio provides accurate locations for enemies, and various weapons and enemies have unique sounds. The soundtrack rocks, and various songs are reused, giving you an idea of the current battle situation (same song plays for all bosses, another song for mass ambushes, etc.). I kind of wish I could turn off the character chatter. It gets redundant after a while. Plus, most of the characters seem to hate anyone who isn't their own class (except the Ogryns, bless those hulking sweet dummies). I primarily play as an Arbitrator, and I am a bit annoyed that my character is constantly insulting the rest of the team. However, some of the chatter is funny the first time you hear it. GAME TIME If you just focus on the main campaign and don't repeat any missions, you are looking at 9-10 hours for each character. If you start a new character, you have to start the campaign over with that character - and your weapon inventory does not carry over to your next character. You will likely replay missions for xp and rewards to make later missions easier, plus you can increase the difficulty for missions, which adds additional enemy types. I'm currently at 39 hours of game time, which got me to level 12 on my Zealot (which I temporarily abandoned) and level 30 on my Arbitrator. Plus, I've played some of the post-campaign content. There are post campaign activities you can do that increases playtime. Due to the skill tree options, and being able to re-spec the tree at any time, I feel there is a good amount of replayability. IS IT WORTH IT? Maybe. I don't think it is worth the full price of $40 + $12 DLC for each additional class: Arbites/Hive scum/Skitarii ($19 if you buy the deluxe class which includes a cosmetic outfit). $76 for the game and all 3 DLC classes is probably overpriced. But, if you catch it on sale (which seems to happen a few times a year), it is worth it - especially if you have friends to play with (which you likely do). I caught the game on sale for $10 and caught the Arbites deluxe class on sale for $12.34, so I'm very happy with my $22.34 purchase. GAMEPLAY TIPS: Pay attention to how your teammates are trying to play. Let the Ogryn or Arbitrator with a riot shield tank for you. Let the Skitarii send its drone to complete terminal puzzles. Unless it is a boss, you can pretty much ignore enemies marked with a magenta skull, which means another character has marked it for death. I haven't played all of the classes, but as an Arbitrator, I can send my cyber-dog out to kill an elite. A friend plays Skitarii and can send a drone out to kill an elite. STICK WITH YOUR TEAM. This prevents you from becoming overwhelmed by a horde, plus your toughness (which operates like an over shield for your main health) regenerates faster the more teammates you are near.
For playing in late game u will lost 5-30 mins on looking for players every game match. Second problem is that game have only 23 missions(every for 5-25 mins). (Over gamemodes have no online, so we have only missions) Third problem is legendary vision, what focused on new characters, that is only new way to play old content instead of making fresh, engaging content. Given the issues listed above, it is impossible to come to any other conclusion than that the developer doesn’t view players as human beings. To them, we are all just cash cows to be milked.
The WH40K immersion is top notch. Runs absolutely flawless on my somewhat "old" PC. There's still plenty of concurrent players to play with even tough the game is 4 years old and I`ve never waited more than 30 sec for the matchmaking. Go ahead, 12$ is a steal at the moment. You don't need DLC to have fun. 10/10
