Reviews
If you love Doom, or Warhammer 40k, or both this is a definite purchase. The events of the game pick up after the end of Space Marine 1, and introduces us to Malum Caedo, a Sternguard Veteran of the Ultramarines 1st Company. This game has a diverse armory of weapons to choose from. From the reliable Boltgun, to the lost art of Volkite. It also sees the return of the Vengeance Launcher from Space Marine 1. The combat is intense and provides a large gallery of targets to fight through. Boss fights, mini boss fights, and vibrant environments. If nothing else, what other game has a dedicated button to curse the mutant, the alien, and the heretic? Also if you idle in game, Malum will take a moment to study the tenants of the Codex Astartes. Black Templars may wish to ignore that last point.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It wasn't the perfect implementation of the Boomer Shooter/Arena Shooter genre, but it was a very nice and fun game, and it was Warhammer.
I didn't like it at first,
But after a few tweaks it turned out to be one of the best FPS games of the decade. 1. Change "Sprint" to "Toggle" (instead of "Hold"). At the beginning of every level, switch to sprint and forget. 2. Play on "Exterminatus". 3. Use keyboard and mouse. No controllers, no Steam Decks. These simple steps reveal Boltgun to be an overwhelmingly fun, high-paced FPS that actually feels somewhat like a true boomer shooter such as Quake, Unreal or Doom. Now go run around the arena like the madman that you are, and enjoy the satisfying gunplay.

level design sucks constant repeat of enemies guns dont feel great to shoot besides a few positive warhammer skin cheap looks ight
I've given this game 2 chances. First time was on xbox game pass. Second time is because it came out of a bundle. As a combination of its parts, the game isn't very good. There is too many parts that are uninteresting. The levels visual design is neat sometimes but even within some levels you'll see repeating designs. Everything is mostly designed to be an arena which very safe and comfortable footholds and pathways. It's hard to say what I'm getting at, but mostly, the game is incredibly sterile and inoffensive in its design. Nothing is standing out. There is no highs but its aiming for a consistent medium line experience and it ends up being underwhelming. Enemies aren't very interesting. Secrets aren't very interesting. I don't need to say much else because plenty of the other negative reviews cover it. Its main saving grace is the fact that it has a 40k skin but then again this is also the biggest flaw of the 40k series of games. Many of them are average games at best, brought up by a 40k skin. Interesting achievement fact, only 36.3% of players have completed what amounts to roughly 28% of the game.
Juegardo. Divertido. Totalmente recomendado. Calidad de compra asegurada.
A few decades too late In itself, the game may not anything special. Basically, you run around through boring environments shooting similar enemies. However considering its release date, everything feels awfully dated, and the bad graphics constantly remind you that a lot of time has passed.
If you need a game that provides good, mindless fun, then Boltgun should scratch that itch. Think of it as Doom Eternal with pixel graphics. 6.75/10
