Wargame: Airland Battle

One of the best strategy games I have ever played. There is so much to enjoy here, the campaign and skirmish mode are great. There is a lot of variety with the units and it feels like a tactical strategy game, not a zerg rush game.

Picked up Wargame again after a long time away from it. Still after some years have passed the game is as enjoyable as ever. It's not for everyone, I get that. I was also never a hardcore player and I pretty much suck at getting my multiplayer skill level up passed getting embarrassed most times but it's still fun to mess with all the deck combinations. Maybe it's just I like the stats behind the different units or maybe I like the pain of getting my a$$ kicked but I am having fun with Wargame again. Age may have passed her by in terms of the most cutting edge graphics but it works good enough for me. If you are like myself and have placed this one on the shelf some time ago, take it out for a spin again. Good times for sure. My only wish is that single player campaign was a fleshed out and polished feature. I definitely dig the single player aspect of games but multiplayer is where this excels at if you have the time, patience, and skill level.

To be fair a really great RTS game, so many different ways to engage and create battles with so many different units and different variations of those units. Just overall a really good solid game thats simply fun and enjoyable to play.

To be brutally honest not only is Wargame Red Dragon not only better but it's a lot better. But as someone who spent a lot of hours over a period of many years playing this game how can I not recommend it ? ALB has two advantages over RD 1) The campaigns in this game are better than the ones in RD 2) This game is more balanced which means the game is more challenging and in a roundabout way might be more realistic if a conventional war had broken out between NATO and The Warsaw Pact where NATO quality nay have came off second best to WP quantity. Some of the Warsaw Pact units are ridicously overpowered to make up for quantity but winning or losing is not a forgone conclusion which probably would have emulated the real cold war So if the Eugen Wargames come up on a steam sale buy this one before you buy Wargame Red Dragon then when you get bored with it buy Red Dragon

Fun but not quite like a battle simulator until you mod it but even without mods it is very fun
