Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Valheim is a collaborative exploration and survival game for 1-10 players set in a procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology. Craft powerful weapons, construct elaborate halls, and slay mighty foes to prove yourself to Odin!

Discover an immersive procedurally generated world, with different biomes that each have their distinct environments, unique resources and dangerous enemies. Become a Viking and sail the open seas in search of lands unknown, alone or with up to nine friends!

The Tenth World has been corrupted by hateful forces, in the shape of mighty regional bosses known as the Forsaken. Hone your skills with axes, blades and bows, and prepare yourself by crafting the very best equipment – for it is only by defeating these Forsaken that you will advance in your progress and prove yourself to the Allfather.

Raise Viking longhouses and build bases that offer reprieve from the dangers ahead. Whether you build a small shelter, an entire village or a mountain-side fortress, defence and structural integrity are important, as is decorating it for maximum comfort!

As you discover new materials, you will learn new recipes for crafting, building and cooking – all that a Viking might need! The food system is rewarding rather than punishing, granting you boons and benefits depending on what you eat, and is directly tied to the combat system, where your health and stamina might be just the thing that makes a difference between life and death.
Community-translated languages
In addition to the officially supported languages, Valheim has several community-translated languages. As the name would suggest, these are all translated by fans and members of the community, and the process is frequently ongoing. In Valheim, you need to farm, survive, and kill bosses. But it's so addictive. You'll eventually defeat all the bosses, but the game won't end. You can build castles, fortresses, and houses. It's best to play with friends :)
Really stupid fighting the same low level enemies everywhere you go even at high levels. Enemies majority of time spawn right behind constant even after you just look behind yourself, I hate you have to constantly eat, there is no auto eat button or program. A lot of crafting items are garbage & only have 1 or 2 usage in a blueprint, You have to destroy the items through a disintegrate machine or the items NEVER go away if dropped, I was told this game was smoothed out & a good value of $10, it just made the more I played it, I don't fell like downloading a bunch of mods

I have done several playthroughs of this game both co-op and solo (PRE 1.0 RELEASE). Several of these playthroughs concluded at the Mountains and one concluded at the Plains. Note I did not finish this game as I simply did not wish to work a 9 to 5 through the Valheim corporation for the rest of my life. FOOD SYSTEM (6/10): I admit, the way food works makes Valheim unique, and in my opinion is one of the sole mechanics that stand out to me whenever I think about this game. That being said, unique does not necessarily mean exemplary. The food system allows you to eat three different foods for various amounts of health regeneration, health, and stamina. Once consumed, these foods buff the player for a set amount of time. Furthermore, the idea of bukeperries to quickly switch out foods is rather ingenious, and quite useful when preparing for a major battle. My issue with this is the fact these foods do not provide the entirety of the buff for the duration they are active, but rather the health and stamina provided to you tick down as the foods active time diminishes. Additionally, it feels like these food timers are ticking down so rapidly you need to down your entire stock of food just so you can have enough stamina to farm more food. This ladies and gentlemen perfectly symbolizes capitalist America! My biggest issue is when you die and have to get your loot. Since food is the main mechanic of the game, if you had all your food on you, each corpse run gets progressively harder as you move farther through the game. It essentially resets you to new player stats just until you get your stuff back which SUCKS! COMBAT (6/10): Nothing that revolutionary here, standard dodge roll + parry formula that has been slapped into countless games nowadays. I do not find this formula bad, but it needs something to diversify itself from other games to make it extraordinary. Valheim simply does nothing to add to a combat style I have seen countless times across countless titles, which is why it receives a mediocre score for a lack of originality. One thing that rather irks me is the fact you have to be blocking to dodge roll, which is not the end of the world, but at the same time makes combat feel a tad less fluid. I do appreciate the idea of recuperating stamina for successful dodge rolls. Another issue with the parry system is that you can only parry stronger attacks if you have enough health, which requires one to shovel health foods down their throat. This limits stamina and slows down combat quite a bit. Yes I know what you're thinking, pop stamina food and "git gud". However stamina food denies the parrying of stronger attacks and requires the incorporation of dodge rolling, which is rewarded far less than simply parrying in several ways (stamina preservation, adrenaline gain, staggering enemies). It is this observation that leads one to realize the game is meant to be played a specific way, and other ways of playing the game are simply less rewarding. In my opinion, the ability to parry should be independent of ones health. FARMING/GRINDING (1/10): Tell your boss that promotion will have to wait and that you put in PTO for the next month! Farming in particular is one the most grueling tasks you will undergo in any game you ever play! BOSSES (3/10): I will start by saying I watched videos of the three bosses I have not fought, and have found my conclusion has not changed. First off, bosses only offer a mandatory item required to progress throughout the game. They DO NOT provide unique loot/gear that the player can farm for. Admittedly this also can be a good thing as the player does not need to waste their time gathering boss summon materials and waste food/meads to repeat boss encounters. I will be brusque and state the boss designs are boring (
Yagluth
is an exception to this). There is really nothing that interesting about the bosses other than knowing which damage type they are weak to and what damage type can they put out. From there each boss has a 3 move cycle that is quite rhythmic once you notice it. It's this lack of move variety that simply trivializes fights into a game of "avoid move do damage". When done right, this formula produces an elegant dance between the player and the boss, a duet between two powerful beings! It should feel like a race for survival where your success is based on your proficiency in the games combat system and understanding the bosses repertoire while managing stamina. In this game, it is just a matter of spam health foods, spam meads, and prepare to parry/dodge/weave the same set of moves for GUARANTEED damage windows. Again my problem isn't necessarily the fact the boss uses their moves more than once, my problem is the monotonous cycling of identical + predictable move sets. To further support this argument, I have not seen any enemy/boss use a combo that exceeds two moves. To me boss fights feel like a game of pong against a computer, where the ball is moving nice and slow so you have time to make a sandwich before you prepare your next parry/riposte sequence. A dishonorable mention to the lackluster boss fight themes which make the fight all the more monotonous. Recalling the metaphor of the boss fight being a dance between two skilled opponents, a ballet performance is rather awkward with the local SoundCloud rapper performing as an alternative to classical music that is more appropriate for the performance. MUSIC (6/10): The soundtracks are okay, but none that really stood out to me as "begging to go on a playlist". The biome music just felt like background noise from a TV left on in another room, and most boss themes were forgettable and made boss fights feel less epic. Overall not much to say here, just an overabundance of mediocracy. TRAVELING (5/10): Sailing is not so bad, until you realize its all you will be doing as metals can't be teleported. My solution for you, make a second world full of chests and transport your metals like this. BUILDING (9/10): The building system in this game is really nice. It incorporates the idea of structural integrity which requires the player to make all builds "obey the laws of physics". Admittedly you can do some cheesy things to make structures more sound but I find this quite comical, especially when playing with friends. The player starts with wooden structures and is then able to advance to stone so they may construct more impervious fortresses. My only issue is the leveling of ground can be a tad clunky which leaves landscapes looking rather unsightly. DIFFICULTY (3/10): Difficulty is simply a matter of enemies having massive health pools and doing high damage as you progress. Move sets for enemies/bosses never gets more complex, but rather the consequence for mistakes simply becomes larger. Don't die at sea or your 300 hour run is toast (no I didn't have this happen but I think it is way too punishing)! Overall, this game is too easy yet WAYYYY too punishing. SKILLS (5/10): My rationale behind the half score deduction is simple, I think the allotment of skills, what they affect, and how they are improved is sufficient. However I have a major issue when these skills are diminished each time the player is felled. Yes the "no skill drain" and "corpse run" buffs help prevent this problem from cascading, but this should simply not be an issue in the first place. It feels far too punishing to have the skills you farmed countless hours for wiped away in mere moments. Honorable mention to the fact you lose more levels the higher you have leveled yourself. In my opinion, an appropriate fix to this would be the removal of skill drain all together with the consequence of requiring a longer time to farm to max level. OVERALL SCORE: (4.9/10) VERDICT: Full Time Employment
This game takes you and throws you into a very interesting world at the cost of your sanity. Not only does this game expect you to wander around a swamp biome with literally hundreds of enemies that can ones shot you, but they place iron, one of the basic resources in the hardest biomes. maybe the game would be possible with 5 people on at all times. disgusting
As a female in my 60"s I really enjoy this game. When I tire of adventuring I spend time creating and building. Better than TV and I can play with my family online, we chat and have a great time. I highly recommend. It's challenging with every new advancement. Never gets boring.
This is a solo player review. Gonna be honest, I don't think I like it. As a survival crafting type game, it feels very simple and very slow paced. The longer you play it, the more tedious it feels to get anything done. There are large areas to explore and gather resources, but there really isn't much to find as you explore except for the same resources as everywhere else or little pockets of mobs to fight. The combat is not particularly good or enjoyable and in fact is somewhat janky. It's especially annoying if you're playing solo, because you just end up in situations where you have 8 to 10 enemies swarming you, for which there is no real combat solution, and if you try to kite them, the entire mob just chases you across the entire world map. It feels like it's going for a soulslike thing, but the combat isn't very good, enemy AI is dumber, and it really seems intended for you to have a friend or two with you ideally. It gives vibes of one of those games that you can play solo "if you really want to" but it clearly expects you to be co-op. Even if you try to manipulate server settings to make the game more playable and balanced for a solo player (or even to just make it easier if that's your preference), you'll run into headaches here, too. While the settings do allow you to mitigate item drop on death, the devs of this game do not allow you to COMPLETELY remove item on drop on death. You can reduce skill point loss on death, but you can't COMPLETELY remove skill point loss on death. You can reduce the damage enemies deal to you significantly, but this doesn't solve the problem that one of the issues is enemies overwhelming you with numbers, which can actually still be a problem even if their strength is reduced and is one of the primary ways this game is not especially solo friendly. But even if you push through all of that and wander into a dungeon with those settings, you won't have a light source, because it's impossible for one player to hold a torch and a weapon at the same time. Moreover, your weapon will rapidly degrade with the number of enemies inside the dungeon, so you won't make it through even a fifth of the dungeon before you have to leave and run all the way home to repair your weapon, and the map is huge, so it takes FOREVER to run home, unless you want to build a new house outside of every dungeon. Or you could carry like 4 or 5 spears into the dungeon with you to alleviate the issue. The point is, it's made for co-op Not only that, but if you try to change any of these server settings to customize the game to your preferred experience, the devs tsk tsk you for "not playing the game right". Losing skill points on death is ass frankly. You already drop inventory. Why drop skill points? I'm a working adult and this adds nothing to the experience besides extra grind. Grinding up skills like "jumping" by hopping up and down isn't fun in the first place. This isn't "punishing difficulty" ; This is wasting my time. It's got some pretty silly rules around workbenches and beds, like being unable to use your workbench if it doesn't have a roof over it (like an actual roof piece; you can't just have it under any old type of covering). Your bed doesn't work unless it is near a campfire, but a campfire can only be placed on dirt. You can't sleep in your bed unless the campfire is burning, but if it rains, your campfire goes out, so now you can't sleep, so if you wanted to wait for morning, just alt tab and go make a sandwich I guess. This all feels so much more convoluted than is really necessary and makes you rearrange your furniture in silly ways to try and accommodate it. It doesn't really add anything to the experience other than making you wonder why it's like this. I've only played for 10 hours and it's possible it gets better, but just compared to other survival crafting experiences I've played like Grounded or Abiotic Factor or Enshrouded or Raft or Subnautica, this just felt very mediocre as a survival/crafting game and tedious as an RPG. I was listening to podcasts while I played because I was getting bored. Maybe it gets better, but I can't wait 30 hours for it to get better. Possibly it's better if you're playing in a group of 3 to 5 people. I'll defer to the co-op players on that. Otherwise, I don't really see the hype. At least as a solo player stuck in the first biome for 10 hours. If you're a primarily solo player looking for a good survival-crafting RPG experience, I think there are much better solo-friendly options. If you're looking for one specifically with a soulslike feel to it, then Enshrouded would be a much better choice in my opinion.
Peak When you play w your brother or your friends
Played this game for a very long time now. Every content release seems less and less like it belongs in the game. Gets further and further from the original theme of the game. Got a release roadmap way back in the day. Good portion of that never saw any follow through and is extremely late. Feels like a long term rug pull. Id love to recommend but they have made so many bad choices that I cant really say I recommend it anymore.
